This is a very full circle moment for mepersonally: the culmination of my year as part ofNeptune’s Chrysalis Project, revisiting this script as thedirector not the assistant director, and as someone whogrew up in the Theatre School doing YPCO many times,to now lead a project is quite an honour. A huge thankyou to Laura Caswell, Jeremy Webb, Annie Valentina,Lisa Bugden and the entire team at Neptune who havebeen deeply kind and supportive.

Neptune's Youth Performance Company presents

The Hobbit is an epic story, one that took Hollywood three movies and JRR Tolkien roughly282 pages. We’re going to share our telling of it in just under two hours on a small stage.Storytelling has always been and I believe will always be at the core of our existence ashumans. It is always teaching us something, even if it is simply to relax and enjoy the ride.Bilbo’s journey and discovery of his own bravery and resourcefulness is one of inspirationand belief. Who knows what we’re capable of until we try? And in that spirit we as acompany relied on our bravery and resourcefulness to create our unique telling of TheHobbit. We hope you come with an open heart and your imagination at the ready.
