From the Pastor’s Corner
THANK YOU!
A special, heartfelt Thank You to all those who made my Ordination weekend a joyous and
spirit-filled occasion that my family and I will always cherish. I appreciate all of your prayers,
support, encouragement, cards, and gifts. I am grateful to all who attended, prepared,
participated, and served in the Ordination, First Mass, and reception, including the beautification
of the Parish Center. I could sense a contagious spirit
of self-giving love and generosity - a vivid example of
the Body of Christ in action. I am honored and
humbled to begin serving as a deacon in our
Parish family, as we continue to faithfully carry out
our Lord's mission.
Yours in Christ,
Deacon Ray Ricci
Thank you Tom Sullivan for the photos
Farewell and Best Wishes to Our Maestro Dick Totman!
St. Augustine says, “He who sings prays twice.” I used that quote on Dick Totman many times.
Dick would always correct me by saying, “He who sings well prays twice.
That leaves you out Fr. Pat.”
For more than 30 years our parish has been blessed to have Dick Totman as our Adult Choir
Director. He will be leaving that position as of this July 1st and will be greatly missed. Year after
year, Dick has devoted his Sundays to playing the organ and leading the choir at 10:30 AM Mass
He has also celebrated holy days, First Communions, Confirmations, weddings, funerals, and
many other special occasions with us.
Dick, thank you for sharing with our parish your heartfelt love of sacred music and inspiration.
You have touched the hearts of so many people with your gift of music, voice, and leadership as
well as example. The Adult Choir along with our entire parish is grateful for your dedication and
prayerfulness. St. Christopher - St. Sylvia Parish will always be your home.
We wish you well!
Blessing for Independence Day
Let us pray for this great country of the United States of America:
God our Father, from whom all good gifts come,
we are thankful for rest and food.
Grant that, in all we do or say,
we keep your goodness always in our thankful hearts.
We entreat you to bless all those who work to keep us safe,
and ask your blessings on all those who work
to share our blessings with others around the world.
We ask all this in the name of our brother and Savior, Jesus.
Amen.
Look What’s Happening at St. Christopher—St. Sylvia Parish!

meeting - a chance to share ideas, plan
for the future and review our past year’s
activities.
Patricia, on death row, writes: “I want to ask of you
and your church to pray for the Donald, the father of
Christie, here on death row, who is very ill. He is in
need of a blessing.”

Did You Know…
that our bulletin pays for itself AND MORE?
The costs are met from the ads that are placed
in the bulletin and when there are lots of ads, the
bulletin even makes money for the church!
The bulletin is given out at all Masses and is available
online at our website too!
Thank you to all our current advertisers and the
people who support them!
This week’s 2nd collection is for Pastoral Solidarity

A little girl was very sick and passed away. Jesus took the child
by the hand and said, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I
say to you, arise!” She arose immediately and was well.
