AFP MEMPHIS CHAPTER DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
AFP Memphis Board is awarding a scholarship each year to a diverse organization that is not a member of AFP. Our hope is that we can “seek and achieve a broad representation of experiences, perspectives, opinions and cultures” within our local AFP Chapter. The AFP membership will be awarded to one person from an organization that otherwise might not join AFP because they either do not have the funds to join or because they have not been exposed to all that AFP has to offer. Deadline for applying is January 21, 2011. Attached is an application form (also available online at www.afpmemphis.org) which you are encour-aged to share with a worthy organization. 2011 AFP INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS OFFER
Once again the AFP Memphis Chapter is offering two scholarships from the chapter for two AFP members to attend the AFP International Conference in Chicago on March 20-23, 2011. This conference offers great fundraising educational opportunities for growth and development in your profession. The Fannie Belle Burnett Scholarship for $1,000 is awarded to a member in good standing who has NOT attended a prior NSFRE/AFP Inter-national Conference on Fundraising. The AFP Memphis Board Scholarship for $1,000 can be awarded to any AFP member in good standing. Application forms are attached to this newsletter and are also available on the chapter website at www.afpmemphis.org. Ap-plications must be submitted by January 15. Selection will be made by the Executive Committee and winners will be notified by the end of January 2011.
