The ninth amendment says, “ The enumeration in the constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” this is the true wording in the bill of rights.

The Bill of Rights is a list of rights that the country has. It was written during the time period of the 1800’s and one person who wrote the Bill said that we could add to the amendments. The ninth amendment is the most important to Eleanor and I, so now we are going to explain why. We couldn’t have anything!

We couldn’t get married and have kids!

A child wouldn’t have a right to life!

Every child wouldn’t be allowed to a name at birth and nationality!

Children should have rights to an education!

no one can be abused!

All of the amendments help us {and the president} run the country

If you get rid of an amendment citizens won’t see it on the Bill of Rights.

It gives citizens the idea to do good, to be a helpful and friendly to all…. The golden rule! Treat others the way you want to be treated.

My favorite slide was Without The Ninth Amendment and my favorite part of the power point was researching rights we wouldn’t have without the 9th amendment. I was happy to work with Eleanor as well. We got along very nicely!

My favorite slide is also WITHOUT THE NINTH AMENDMENT and my favorite part of the power point was learning as we researched. I was happy with my partner selection and we did NOT disagree once!!!!

Thank you so very much! We worked hard on this and we are very happy you watched it. We also hope you enjoyed it very much, but the most important thing is… I hope that everyone learned a lot on the bill of rights.
