Dear Harcourtians,
Come August ? September and it is time for welcoming new members into the ever growing world of Harcourtians. On behalf of the Alumni Association I extend my best wishes to the students and to our alma mater for successfully moulding the lives of these young men and women to bring greatness and glory to the institute and the country.
It is also time to remind all that we are only 3 months away from the 15th International Alumni Meet scheduled for 23rd & 24th November 2019 in the premises of H.B.T.U., Kanpur. Please plan your visit to meet your old friends and make some new too. We can never have enough of reminiscing about our institute days and feeling nostalgic about it and how it made us what we are today in our personal and professional lives.
A special request to the batches who would be felicitated this year ? your presence is the perfect opportunity to showcase your successes & achievements which in turn do wonders in encouraging the student population. Also it is an opportunity for you to come together and marshal efforts to put together a contribution for the betterment of the institute in an area of your choice. Do stay connected with the Alumni Association and keep strengthening the alumni network & contributing to the institution
With warm regards.

Dear Harcourtians,
Greetings!
The Alumni association has been consistently working to encourage the scientific temper amongst students. In a recent meeting of the Executive Committee on 2nd July it took another step in line with its commitment by announcing a few schemes to support deserving students. The schemes are meant to generate a spirit of enquiry, action and commitment amongst students and also support selected students in participating in paper presentations or seminars at national events to represent HBTU. The schemes are also meant to assure financial assistance to meritorious students from economically challenged backgrounds. You will find the details of the schemes on the alumni website.
Needless to say these schemes needs the generous support of Alumni to ensure their success. Not only does it give all alumni an opportunity to give back to the Alma Mater, it is also a contribution to society and the nation in its progress.
We look forward to your continued support in all forms in in this noble cause.
Please do not hesitate to write to me if you have more ideas and plans to further the cause.
Warm Regards,
Balram Kumar Upadhyay

Harcourtian Sanjay Kum ar (2011, Chemical) has invented a wonderful software known as Chropat h and done HBTU proud.
ChroPath is a software tool which has automated a particular task of software engineers. Basically it gives the unique address of web elements in a single click like Google Map giving address of any place. Using ChroPath an engineer saves more than 30-40 hours in a month. The best part is that it is an absolutely free tool and no license is required. It is therefore no surprise that it is currently being used by more than 4 lacs engineers in almost every country.
In fact, engineers from the companies like Apple, Sam sung, Grab, and Huawei et c use it as skill in their resumes. Online training institutes like Udem y, Edureka and m any inst it ut ions have training on ChroPath.

Indian Railways created history with its first-ever conversion of a locomotive from diesel to electric traction. This is an economical solution to utilize diesel locomotives getting surplus due to 100% electrification. This not only reduces carbon emissions but also provides saving in energy cost. Mr. Ajay Goswami (1993, Electrical Engineering) and his team were involved with this prestigious project.

Time isn't slipping,Dripping in the fields of memoirs. It ushers, And leaves us a handful of people. We see, We touch,We can hold on to.Like the currents carrying cod,Like Spring Sales of winter clothes, they come as unobliterated leverages.Rare are those who stay.Time isn't testing,Making us recite or repeat our deeds. It throws daggers, asking for life, threatening the loved ones.Levitating the stakes to a point you won't sleep.Time isn't imbecileIt is an aged cursing wizard with a long needle wand, snapping nails at your decisions.Snoot around for loopholesKnowing your weaknessesKilling in your strengthsIt warns of the recursionsit takes turnsIt never is sans logicTime isn't fearfulIt is simple,And ticking. Dear Alumni Secretary,
I would like to draw your attention that the information for the forthcoming Meetings/ Programs need to be given in advance not afterwords. In the Jun 2019 (Year 2, Vol 6), news letter in your desk Para-2 states that EXECUTIVE MEETING IS SCHEDULED ON 2nd JULY 2019 and this information is made available on 20 July 2019 does not serve any Purpose as the activity is already
OVER. hope this suggestion can be suitably considered for future news letters.
