01 The Active Info Display is a fully configurable, interactive 12.3 inch TFT display which replaces the standard analogue instrument cluster, displaying vehicle data and information on your dashboard quickly and easily using the multifunctional steering wheel. Five different modes allow you to customise the screen, with large or small dials as you prefer, and a number of items displayed behind them. When used in navigation mode, in conjunction with the ‘Discover Media’ 1 or ‘Discover Pro’ systems, you can move the speedometer and rev counter to the edge of the display, creating more space for the navigational map. If you wish, you can include driving, navigation and assistance functions within the graphics of the speedometer. As the Active Info Display is linked to all other assistance systems in the vehicle, any data shown in the centre console of the infotainment system, such as phone numbers or your music’s compatible cover art, can also be displayed on the dash, conveniently placed directly within the driver’s optimum field of vision. Standard on Highline models and optional on Comfortline models only in conjunction with optional ’Lights and Vision‘ pack (PLA).

02 The new intelligent dashboard and controls provide a gateway to the digital world, with a sophisticated new design, larger infotainment touch-screens and intuitive operation. touch-screens, voice control, phone operation and, for the first time ever,

gesture control.

01–02 Innovative gesture control enables you to operate the optional ‘Discover Pro’ touch-screen navigation/DVD radio system with the greatest of ease. Using a simple sideways swiping gesture, you can scroll through the main menu, change radio stations, flip through the playlist or browse through your picture viewer or albums in the media library. Successful swipes are confirmed by a sound effect that can be deactivated if you wish. Optional on Comfortline and Highline models. 03 The wireless smartphone charger 1 allows Android smartphone charging without the use of cables. The storage compartment in the front centre console contains a wireless charging pad that you place your phone on top of to charge. The advantage of wireless charging is that it’s quicker and easier, as you don’t have to plug and unplug each time and, it also looks neater without any trailing cables. 03 The ‘Discover Media’ touch-screen navigation system adds navigational functionality to the ‘Composition Media’ system, providing dynamic navigation based on TMC+, points of interest, preloaded European navigation data, Speed Limit Display2 and three routes (Fast, Short and Eco), and 2D/3D map view. It comes with 3-years’ Car Net ‘Guide and Inform’3, providing online access to such information as fuel pricing, parking space availability, weather and news feeds; and includes online navigation software updates, enabling you to download the latest map data. 04 The ‘Dynaudio Excite’ soundpack produces phenomenal sound, delivering 400 watt output via an 8-channel digital amplifier and eight speakers located around the cabin. The Digital Signal Processor (DSP) maximises the sound from each speaker, ensuring every seat is in the optimum listening position. Optional on Comfortline and Highline models.

05 The ‘Discover Pro’ touch-screen navigation/DVD radio system features a glass-covered 9.2 inch colour touch-screen for navigation, DVD, CD and radio functions. It responds to spoken voice commands for navigation and telephone functions, and also features gesture control for use with various different menus, responding to a sideways swiping gesture and confirming a successful swipe with a sound effect, which can be deactivated if required. Building on the ’Composition Media‘ specification, it is equipped with a 64 GB SSD hard drive, preloaded European navigation data, 3D map view, three calculated routes (Fast, Short and Eco), dynamic navigation based on TMC+, points of interest, Speed Limit Display2, photo display from JPEG and PNG files and two SD card readers. Driver’s assistance systems.Intelligent driver assistance systems ensure greater comfort and convenience

on your journey, and can help you to overcome or avoid potentially critical situations.

01 Blind spot monitor with ‘Rear Traffic Alert’ and ‘Lane Keeping Assist’ is a camera and radar sensor controlled warning system that helps you keep your distance in congested traffic and avoid a typical congestion type collision. Should your vehicle drift out of lane, the system accelerates, brakes and steers as appropriate, as long as it detects the driver’s hands on the wheel. Optional on Highline models.

02 Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) including Front Assist radar sensor controlled distance monitoring system, City emergency braking system, cruise control and speed limiter, offers you intelligent control of your driving speed by automatically adjusting acceleration and braking. Whether around town or on the motorway, the system will adjust your speed to that of the vehicle in front, keep your specified distance, warn if you are approaching too fast and, in an emergency situation, generate enough braking force to try to reduce the severity of a collision or possibly even prevent the collision entirely. Standard on Comfortline and Highline models.

03 Forward collision warning ‘Front Assist’ with pedestrian recognition warning features a camera and radar sensor controlled warning system. This alerts you should it detect any pedestrians at the edge of the road or on the carriageway, via acoustic and optical signals as well as a gentle jolt of the brakes. Standard on Comfortline and Highline models.

04 Trailer Assist including ‘Park Assist’ and ‘Park Distance Control’ (PDC) helps you reverse a trailer or caravan with a weight of up to 1,800 kg into a parking bay or entrance from the street. To operate, simply engage reverse gear and activate the system via a push button. The driving angle and possible driving angles are displayed on the instrument cluster. All the driver has to do is operate the accelerator pedal and brake, while the system automatically controls the direction of the car, using Park Assist to move the trailer backwards into the required position. Optional on Comfortline and Highline models. Must be ordered in conjunction with optional trailer hitch – manually swivelling (1D4).

depends on the specification of the vehicle, this then reduces the possible payload accordingly. The unladen weight and payload both include the fuel tank 90% full, driver (68kg) and luggage (7kg) in line with EU directive 95/48. Unladen weight shown refers to 5-door models.

02) With increasing altitude the engine performance diminishes. From 1,000m above sea level and for every 1,000m thereafter 10% of the vehicle/trailer weight (trailer weight + gross vehicle weight) must be deducted.

03) The size of the fuel tank is approximate and therefore it may be possible to add a greater amount of fuel than the size of the tank specified, due to the space in the filler neck.

04) Official fuel consumption according to EU Directive 99/94. The consumption calculation according to 1999/100/EC is based on the actual unladen weight of the vehicle. Additional specifications can lead to a higher weight class and hence to consumption figures of this higher weight class. The driving style, road and traffic conditions, environmental influences and vehicle condition can in practice lead to consumption figures, which may differ from those calculated with this standard.

CO2 EmissionIncreased weight of a vehicle, including higher trim levels and the addition of options will have a negative influence on the level of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions produced.

The CO2 and fuel consumption figures are obtained from tests on a representative vehicle of the type, conducted and approved in accordance with Council Directive 80/1268/EEC as amended by Directive 1999/100/EC (or later) on the approximation of the laws of the member states relating to the carbon dioxide emissions and the fuel consumption of motor vehicles.
