Grata Somare and Leonardo Vigorell i conduct research on indi­genous populations on behalf of Museums and cultural Institutions. They have published studies on North-American Indians, on Sub-saharian and Himalayan populations. They direct a Laboratory of Anthropological Research and Documentation, which coordinates the activities of a group of international specialists in the various sectors of ethnographic-anthropological research.

M . Alemchiba Ao is the Director of the Naga Institute of Art and Culture and of the National Museum of Kohima, Nagaland. He is actively engaged in the preservation of the traditional cultural patrimony of the Nagas and is the author of studies on the history and the culture of his homeland, being the most renown expert.

Binod Behari Goswami has been thejoint Director of the Anthro­pological Survey of India until 1991 and a Visiting Fellow in the In­dian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. He is known for his authoritative contribution on the people of Mi -zoram, Nagaland, Manipur and Assam.

Toshi Wongtong, is a Yimchunger Naga from Tuensang District. He is at present engaged in a Ph. D . programme at the Jawaharlal Nehru University of New Delhi.

Giul io Zaccarelli, is a collaborator of the International Centre of Studies for Preservation and Restoration (ICCROM - Rome). He is also responsible for projecting and preparing exhibitions.

Franco Zaina, in recent years has dedicated himself to museum photography and to a definition of new solutions for the photo­graphy of ethnographic material.
