The singers Paulina Horajska and Gabriela Gołaszewska accompanied bythe pianist Krzysztof Trzaskowski will appear with songs and arias ofMozart, Rossini, Puccini, Chopin, Moniuszko, and others. The violinistRoksana Kwaśnikowska together with the pianist Joanna Kacperek will playa fine selection of chamber compositions, including the Kreutzer Sonata byBeethoven, and the piece Dryads and Pan of the chamber series Mythes byKarol Szymanowski.

Year after year, between June and July, Wratislavia Chamber Orchestraand its artistic director Jan Stanienda invite you to the Chamber MusicFestival „Arsenal Nights”. This year the audience will be invited to open airconcerts in the courtyard of the antique Arsenal in Wrocław from 29 Juneto 8 July. It’s become a tradition to meet you in this charmed place wherethe architecture, music, singing birds and aromatic coffee served duringthe intervals, together add up to unforgettable harmony. What a beautifulstart for the summer holiday season!

This will be a year of many highlights, both in terms of repertoire, and theperformers. On the festival’s inauguration, the acknowledged Germanpianist Hinrich Alpers will present the very interesting although rarelyplayed chamber version of Beethoven’s Piano Concertos (Concertos in GMajor and E-flat Major). The finale of the Arsenal Nights on July 8th will bespiced with a number of Antonio Vivaldi’s concertos for various sets ofinstruments. On July 4th, a set of six remarkable sonatas by GioacchinoRossini, which he wrote when he was still a child, long before he becamethe master of Italian opera and produced such masterpieces as ”TheBarber of Seville”.

It has become the tradition of the Arsenal Nights to have also specialconcerts dedicated to lighter repertoire stepping out of the circle ofchamber music. These are events hosted by outstanding pop singers,actors, and popular music bands. On 6 July we will welcome GrzegorzTurnau and Dorota Miśkiewicz with a group of musicians in the artisticprogramme called „The Tender Rule”. This popular and liked singer andequally famed lady vocalist have started their musical partnership over tenyears ago. We will listen to several of their joint songs, and this concertwill be certainly one of the greatest attractions of this year’s Festival.
