A MESSAGE FROM FATHER RICH

Among the many things that were postponed or can-celled during the spring, was the Annual Catholic Appeal

drive, which supports many parts of the Archdiocese. The Annual Catholic Appeal supports a wide variety of agencies that support the less fortunate in our society. Among them being Catholic Chari es, St. Joachim and Ann Care Service, Parish Food pantries, the homeless shelter at St. Peter and

Paul and many others. We all know that due to the corona-virus, many individuals have lost their jobs or hours cut back

and the need is greater than ever. If you are able please consider making a pledge. Due to social distancing the

collec on will be different this year, we will not be handing out pledge cards as the Archdiocese is mailing them out.

You can either drop them off in the collec on or mail them in directly to the Archdiocese. Thank you for your support

God Bless, Father Rich

FRIDAY JUNE 26th and FRIDAY JULY 24th

Recollection - A moment of reflection spent in the presence of God done suggestively once a month. It is paying attention to the Lord in the soul, putting aside all external and other unspiritual matters in order to attend to God. A time of personal interior solitude of the soul alone with God. Recollection helps us to evaluate our journey of faith and our relationship with God. It is here that we get to make resolutions on how better Christians we want to be or live in the next days as we journey with Christ.

DEACON NEAL’S REFLECTION CORNER

This is Trinity Sunday and I'm going to write about this feast at a later date. There's something else that I have on my mind for today. Seven years ago, we were looking for a new principal. Some people felt that our school was in great need of a new leader. I remember that there were a group of us that decided to pray every day that God would send us a wonderful principal. Fr. Phil was that pastor at that time and I was about 8 months away from my ordination to the diaconate. One night Fr. Phil said to me that they had interviewed someone that he believed would be a fantastic choice. I remember his quote. "I don't care if it takes more money, we have got to get her." That "her" was Janice Palmer. Fr. Phil was right. Janice is just about ready to move back to Kansas. I have told her many times that she was an answer to a prayer. The Holy Spirit brought her to us and she was a true blessing to our school, our parish and our children. It's been a privilege to have worked with her through the school. It's a blessing to be able to call her friend. She has touched the hearts and left an impression of true Christian on so many of the children. She is now going to be true to her principle of family first. Both of her children are getting married this year and she wants to be with them more. What a wonderful gift she was to us, to have her as principal. God bless you, Janice. May you, James and your family be blessed. When someone tells me that God doesn't answer prayers, I'll remember you and know that he does. Your Friend in Christ, Deacon Neal

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Our parish has been greatly blessed with having 24 hour Eucharistic Adoration (Tues.8:30am-Weds.7:30am) each week

for almost 22 years. Many of our participants are original volunteers. However, we have lost many of these recently due to illness, old age, and death. We need YOUR help to continue

this grace-filled ministry. We are in most need of Adorers at these hours: 2:30pm and 12:30am. However, we could use people to commit to any hour of the day or night. Also, we

have a need for Substitutes that can fill in when our regulars need to miss a day. Please pray on this. Your commitment to visit the Blessed Sacrament once a week will certainly benefit

you, your family, our parish, and the world. Signup sheets will be in back of Church.
