Endings and Beginnings We are about to embark on a very special time for our church as we welcome our new pastor, Aaron Linville. This is an exciting time in the life of our congregation and we are all looking forward to beginning a new chapter at Rural Hall Moravian Church with Aaron and his wife Amy. But with beginnings, we often have endings which can bring about feelings of sadness. We are saying farewell to our interim pastor, Jim Newsom, who we have come to love and appreciate. But rather than being sad, I would encourage all of us to reflect on why we have come to love him. Remember those wonderful Ash Wednesday and Holy Week services he brought to us, remember the thought provoking and uplifting sermons he delivered, remember the kindness he showed to those in need, and especially remember those children's sermons! Yes, we will miss Pastor Jim, but the memories of what he brought to us and the relationship we developed with him will stay with us and outweigh any sadness we may feel. And no doubt our paths will cross again. As we welcome Aaron and Amy, let's do so with open hearts and minds and provide them the loving support they deserve as they become acclimated to our church and our community. Endings and beginnings – both can be exciting and meaningful.

Women’s Fellowship News
Continue to pray for the work that the Women’s Fellowship does for the Community, the Church and for our Church Members. I invite all of our new members and old members to please join one of the Circles. If you attend a Circle Meeting, it will give you time to get to know some of the ladies of the church with fellowship and Bible study. Our Circle Leaders are: Circle 1: Judy Tayloe (336-642-4313), Circle 2: Sue Ashburn (336-969-4124) and Circle 3: Billie Williams (336-969-5444). Please contact any of these leaders to learn more about the circles and times held.
I invite all the ladies of the church to come to our meeting in November where we will be doing the candle trimming for our upcoming Christmas Lovefeasts. Note that the time of the meeting will be 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 16 (this change was voted on in our last meeting). Please bring an appetizer of your choice to share with each other and an unwrapped toy for the Gift Market.

Angel Breakfast Rural Hall Moravian Church
Saturday, December 13 8:30-10:30 AM
What is the Angel Breakfast you ask? It’s a time to slow down during the craziness of the Holiday Season and enjoy breakfast with children as they learn about the true meaning of Christmas from an angel’s perspective.
How does it work? Children from ages 3 up through the 5th grade will come with one adult to RHMC for an angel craft, Christmas Carols and breakfast. And, since it’s BREAKFAST, children are encouraged to come in their pajamas!
Does it cost anything? Not at all! The Angel Breakfast is an outreach event that is provided by RHMC and sponsored by the Christian Education Committee. While there is no charge, we do ask that participants bring canned food for Crisis Control. We want children (and adults) to realize that this is the season of GIVING.

We are hosting a gift mart in the fellowship hall on December 6 for
families from Rural Hall Elementary School who are in difficult circumstances. Parents
will be invited to shop for Christmas gifts for their children. Toys and gift wrap donations are needed. Any unopened new toy will be greatly appreciated. Save the date: December 5 & 6! Your help will be needed to sort toys and work on shopping day in our Fellowship Hall! If you can help, please contact Candice Bowles.

Newsletter Notes From around the Southern Province
Salem Congregation will sponsor a Habitat for Humanity house next spring. It will be constructed in the Kimberly Park neighborhood in memory of Cedric Rodney, who served for many years as pastor of St. Philips and as chaplain at Winston-Salem State University. Cost of the Habitat house project will be about $65,000. Olivet has purchased a new Allen organ for its sanctuary, which should make a lovely addition to worship services. The cost of the organ is $65,000, which is being paid by generous donations and good old-fashion fundraisings. Mayodan’s Elders are considering starting a social committee to get people in the church together to socialize or do various activities together. It would be for all ages to come together and get to know each other better.

A Sing Along with Nola Lunchtime Lecture Series

Every four years Moravian young adults in North A m e r i c a h a v e t h e opportunity to come together for a Moravian Young Adult Convocation. The next Young Adult Convo is this summer as participants will travel to the Czech Republic and Germany to see many of the historic Moravian sites and to find inspiration and vision for current ministry. In the Czech Republic, the trip includes: Prague (where John Hus preached), Kunwald (where the Unitas Fratrum, the early Moravian Church, first settled), and the Chalice Rocks (where members of the Unitas Fratrum met during their time of persecution). In Germany the trip includes: Herrnhut (where the Unitas Fratrum experienced a great spiritual renewal). All Moravian young adults ages 18 through 26 are invited to attend this summer’s Moravian Youth Adult Convo 2015. The dates for the trip are July 5–13, 2015. World Mission Lovefeast Christ Moravian Church

A Celebration of God’s Good News for the World to benefit Mission Society Missionaries BWM-Leadership Development in the Southern Province Mission areas of Cuba, Peru, and Sierra Leone. The Guest Speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Cindy Williams. Music presented by the Moravian Provincial Band, directed by Carol Johnson; The Christ Choir & Musicians, directed by Jeanie Rothrock; Stephen Holland, Organist; and the Provincial Praise Team coordinated by Sam Gray. Band prelude begins at 2:30 PM. Mission Society envelopes for donations can be found on the table by the water fountain at RHMC.
YAMs Retreat at Laurel Ridge All Young Adult Moravians (YAMs) are invited to a time of retreat in the Blue Ridge
Mountains! Our retreat will be a two day, one night event on Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2. The cost of the retreat is $35 per person and includes lodging and three meals at the Tise Building. Arrive any time on Saturday afternoon, supper will be at 6:30 PM. MORAVIAN MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS
December 5-7
Celebrate the spirit of Christmas at the annual Moravian Mountain Christmas festival. Go for the day, overnight, or the entire weekend! Enjoy sounds of the season, shop for that “traditional” Christmas present. Music, crafts, good food and good fellowship will ring in the season for your entire family!
If you stay on Friday night, there will be a Bingo game with cookies and cider. Saturday will be filled with activities all day long. On Sunday morning, there will be a worship service followed by fellowship at brunch.
Calling all musicians, bands, choirs, quartets, trios, duets, soloists, one-man-bands, can you make a joyful noise? Laurel Ridge would love to have live Christmas music performed throughout the day on Saturday, December 6 for the guests at Moravian Mountain Christmas!
