PAINTINGS- A reoccurring theme amongst artists with a focus on the moon is the almost cliché:

Full moon in the dark sky, right above the ocean, with the light illuminating the waves, and deep blue sea.

POETRY- A Midsummer night’s dream is truly Shakespeare's sublunary play, with more uses of the word "moon" than any other play, and the only instance of "moonbeams"
