Dear Chick-fil-A,I'm Not Sure Our Relationship is Going to Work Out Anymore
You know how you asked me to try and be more open and honest with you? Well, here we go. I've been trying to convince myself for the past couple of weeks that this is just a phase or that we can work things out, but there are just certain things that lead me to believe we might be through.For example, I hate it when you pack me the wrong lunch and I don't notice until I get to work. I know you don't mean to do this, but it's still super frustrating. And I hate how you get really busy and don't seem to always care that I come over. Also, I hate how you don't always come with me when I go on vacation with my family. Oh, and I even hate how nice you are to me and how you say my pleasure. It's almost seems too nice. And I definitely hate how I always have to come over to your place if I want to spend time with you.I also hate how you completely disappear from the face of the earth every Sunday. I have tried so many times to come over on Sundays to visit you and all of your lights are off, I call you and you don't answer, I check your Facebook and you don't have any updates. I'm not sure if you just have overprotective parents or if your ignoring me or what, but it breaks my heart. You see, Sunday is always the day that I want to see you the most and I hate that too! Speaking of Sunday, I need to confess something to you. For the past couple of Sundays, I have been visiting some other restaurants. You see, it's not that I don't like you personally anymore, I just need
someone who will always be there for me and I'm not sure you will be. I mean, if it makes you feel better, they never treat me the same way you do and I always feel extremely guilty when I leave them. I hate that feeling so much. You know what I hate most though, it's the fact that I don't hate you at all. I guess the problem here is not really you, it's me. Chick-fil-A, I'm sorry for being sooo selfish and for almost giving up on our relationshi-and I'm sorry for kinda cheating on you. I hope that you will still greet me with a smile when I come to visit you and... What the heck am I even saying, I know you will. And while I hate that too, I'm absolutely addicted to you. You're always a pleasure to be around and your cows always make me laugh. Honestly, I could never ever leave you! I pinky promise to try to be more patient with you on Sundays and I can't wait to see you again. If you're okay with it, I would love to visit you on Friday night. I'm really craving one of those hand-spun milkshakes that you make. Especially the kind you like to whip up this time of year. I mean they don't always make every part of our relationship just peachy, but they do make me smile. A lot! In fact, I'm smil-ing right now thinking about it: wishing it wasn't Sunday. Things That You Should Know About Chick-fil-A
COLUMN BY: J. POSTMA I don't know how to say this. Well, yes I do. I'm leaving. As the writer of this newspaper and one of the Marketing Directors here at Chick-fil-A, it has been a pleasure to write many ridiculous articles that have often seemed to have be written about nothing: many of which probably were. Neverthe-less, I hope this paper has served its pur-pose of letting you know what's happening here at Chick-fil-A and made you laugh at least once along the way. To those who know me from sampling, Family Nights, community events or just from being in the store, thank you for the relationships that you have provided. To those who don't, thanks for reading The Mini-Moo News Times and for eating more chicken! In response to the questions that you might be asking: Will The Mini-Moo News Times still exist and who will be writing it? Yes, the newspaper will still exist and you will have to wait and see. Will the articles still have the same type of humor and terrible use of puns? I hoof no idea. Sorry! Where will you be going? To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. Ask me in a couple months and I'll let you know. What is your favorite color? Blue... but, sometimes it's black. And since I don't have many definitive answers to the questions you might be asking, I'm go-ing to stop and say my good byes: adios, au revoir, farewell... ciao!
