Come hear
Travis Freeman
and his inspiring story
Sunday, November 2
at 8:30 am and 10:50 am
I certainly want to thank each of you who helped make last night’s Trunk or Treat such a successful one. Once again, we had another great turnout from the community, and I think everyone enjoyed the evening. I especially want to thank Clark Rowland for donating his time and talents to serve as our Christian illusionist. All the kids seemed to really enjoy his sleight of hand “tricks” which he used to illustrate the beauty of God’s love for us! Be sure to thank Clark the next time you see him!
Don’t forget the unique opportunity that we have this Sunday November 2nd with Travis Freeman coming to speak at First Baptist. By now, you likely have heard how Travis’ story has been featured in a recently-released movie called “23 Blast.” In fact, a group from our church will be going to see the movie along with Travis this Saturday night in Lexington. Be sure to set your clocks back one hour this Saturday night and then bring an unchurched friend or family member with you on Sunday morning as Travis shares how through Christ we can overcome even the worst of obstacles. In His Service, Bro. Bob
Students and Parents: Saturday, November 1st Mr. Travis Freeman, whose story is featured in the new full length movie 23 Blast, which will be released in theaters across the country, is coming to join the youth for a view of 23 Blast movie! Travis has been making the media rounds over the past few weeks. He has been on the Huckabee Show, Fox and Friends, and on local news broadcasts promoting the film "23 Blast" as well as his book "Lights Out". We would
like to encourage your student to come be a part of the night as we go to see the movie. We will be leaving the church at 5:30 pm and returning around 11:00 pm. The cost for the movie is $8.50 plus money for dinner after the movie. Sunday, November 2nd Travis will be speaking to the church during both morning services. Following the 10:50 service members of the ACHS football team, as well as the youth, will be joining Mr. Freeman for a meal. We will also have available for purchase, his book “Lights Out” for $15. We would love for you to be a part of this special weekend at the church. Please begin signing up for D-Now Core at Crossings Cedarmore. The date is February 27-March 1. The cost is $94. Please contact Zach Bauer or call the church office to sign up. For His Name Sake, Zach Bauer
Worship Music for Sunday (November 2) This Sunday morning we will be hosting our guest
speaker: Travis Freeman, at BOTH AM services! Our praise team will lead our music at the 8:30 a.m.
service! The Worship Choir will open the 10:50 a.m. service with the Southern Gospel song: "I Want
Your Song to Be My Song!" Plus, Stacy Bush will share a Mandisa solo just before Travis Freeman's
message! Lance and Michael will play the instruments for the 10:50 a.m. service! Sunday night Bro. Bob will be
beginning a new series on Sunday nights, with the message: “Do We Ever Misunderstand God's Plans?,” from
Jeremiah 29:11! Michael and Lance will play the instruments this Sunday night!

with Christmas rapidly approaching, a shopping trip might prove to be fun and needed, coming up on Thursday,
November 13! The stores open at 10 a.m. so we will take the church mini-bus, and wont need to depart until
9:30. We should get there around opening time. I will allow you to shop freely and get lunch on your own for
about 4 hours. We will head home at 2:00 p.m., that way you can all be home before "school rush" temporarily
clogs all Lawrenceburg traffic ways! Call the Church Office (839-6966) to sign up. We may need to take more
than one vehicle if the sign up is BIG! Yours in Christ, Mark
This year’s Trunk or Treat was such a blessing! God provided great weather for this year’s event. I want to thank everyone in our church for stepping up in a big way. We had dozens of people set up cars to hand out candy, make chili, help serve and work in the kitchen, work the registration desk, and a whole host of other tasks. I want to give a big thank you to Clark Rowland for providing our gospel presentation in a creative way. Our Trunk or
Treat is such a great witness to our community and it would not have been possible without the support of our entire church.
Our Christmas musical rehearsals are going well. We have a great group of boys and girls that our participating in “The First Leon.” Remember, we have play practice this Sunday at 3:30pm for kids who have speaking parts. Make sure you are memorizing your lines.
Next Saturday, November 8, is our FBC loves Upward Day. All of our Sunday school classes have been asked to come to one of the games and cheer on the Upward teams. You have also been asked to provide snacks and drinks for that team. We will be providing free hot dogs to everyone this day as well. With over 500 people coming through our gym on a typical Saturday, this is another great way for us to show that we love our community. Blessings, Adam
