In the first quarter of 2017, two phrases that resonated a lot within our workplace were: thought leadership and knowledge sharing. While many tend to think of these terms as marketing jargon, for us at Leminar it is far from it. As an industry leader, we firmly believe in the power of thought leadership to enable growth and drive innovation.
Thought leadership is a unique way to cultivate knowledge along with clients and strategic business partners. It is about sharing best practices and meaningful interactions. It involves getting client feedback, evaluating industry standards and making efforts to bring about changes in our business models, and the wider market.
We see real value in these activities as a strategy for growth after all the essence of it is engagement with customers and partners. In the UAE alone, we hosted three different mini-seminars in the last three months. In addition, we had two sessions focused on the topic of Evaporative Cooling in Kuwait and Qatar. You will find details of these sessions in this newsletter.
We are also very happy to convey that we have been chosen by Great Places to Work for the fourth consecutive year as one of the top companies to work for in the UAE. You will also learn more about the newer products we introduced to the market as well as the major projects we bagged.

LATEST UPDATESRANKED AMONG TOP COMPANIES TO WORK FOR IN UAE
For the fourth consecutive year, Leminar claimed a spot on the prestigious Great Places to Work's list of the top companies in the UAE. We were ranked 15th among 24 companies that made the cut based on its employee-centric policies and innovative employee-related practices. Leminar was once again the only company from the HVAC and larger construction sector to earn this distinction. The company presently
employs in excess of 330 people in its UAE offices alone, from a total of 430 staff employee across Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.
This is the seventh annual list of ‘Top Companies to Work For’ in the UAE published by Great Places To Work. The evaluation is based on confidential feedback from employees as well as an independent audit of management and HR practices of the companies.
MESAN USA COOLING TOWERS DEBUTS IN QATAR & KUWAIT
Leminar recently introduced Mesan USA Cooling Towers to an elite gathering of industry professionals in Qatar and Kuwait. The product debut took place during Leminar’s technical seminars, which focused on alternative evaporative cooling technology. The keynote speaker at the seminar was Mr. Sergio Flores, Director of Mesan USA.
Earlier in the year, Leminar formalised a distribution agreement with Mesan USA for the supply of its CTI certified products in these two countries. The latter is one of the leading manufacturers in the USA and has over 2,300 models in its portfolio.
It is also the only manufacturer which designs and develops its own fans, ensuring a perfect match between towers and fans, for the highest combined efficiency (thermal and energy), and consequently the lowest energy consumption per tonne.
THE SERVICES SPECIALLeminar’s After Sales Service in Qatar has been growing steadily in the recent months. The service is designed to give our customers extra coverage for instances when maintenance or repairs are imperative.We have a dedicated inhouse team of trained technicians, who are available round-the-clock to attend to customer issues. We have released an updated version of our brochure for our customers as well.

Leminar participated at this year’s Big Show Oman 2017. It was our first appearance at the annual exhibition which has proven its worth and significance to Oman’s building and construction industry. We had on display a range of products including exhibits of Rheem Air Conditioning Units, Clima Uno AHU and S&P fans and other ventilation products.
According to the show organiser, more than 1,000 products from about 250 companies were on display at the 14th edition of the exhibition which was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
We were the Gold Sponsors of the Second International Conference on Energy and Indoor Environment for Hot Climates - Outdoor Cooling Technologies, Challenges and Opportunities, which was organised by ASHRAE Qatar Oryx Chapter and Qatar University.
The conference addressed energy and IAQ issues in humid and arid hot climates. It also provided a forum for discussion of the latest research and development in the field of indoor environmental quality in high ambient temperature climates.
Leminar along with our partner Rheem recently hosted a seminar titled “Leading Innovation, Driving Efficiency” at the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa on March 22nd, 2017. The event was headlined by Jeff Goss, Sr. Manager - Business Development, Rheem USA, Pramodh Idicheria, Executive Director, Kartik Raval, Territory Manager - Air Conditioning Equipment - Leminar Air Conditioning Co. and important others from Rheem.
This was the first of our event in 2017 for customers and clients in northern emirates and was very well-attended.

Leminar supplied S&P ventilation fans for car park of the prestigious Atria Tower that is being developed by Deyaar. The 900 and 1000 mm diameter fans having an average of 20,000 l/s were delivered in one batch to meet the client’s tight timeline for delivery. The project is slated for completion this year.

Leminar’s Equipment and Air Conditioners division has won a contract for the supply of Rheem R410A Ducted Splits (701 stets) for an upcoming development in Sharjah. To be developed in Sharjah’s Al Nahda area, the Sahara 6 is a two-tower structure with one around 39 stories including parking. The smaller of the two towers will have 13 typical floors.

Leminar’s Building Service Products division inked a supply deal for the 50-storey Tiara Towers. We are providing HVAC accessories and a range of valves from Hattersley such as check valves, regulatory valves, gate valves, strainers and metering stations adding up to a total of over 7,000 units. The twin-tower apartment complex is being built by Meraas.
