THE LORD’S DAYGLEN IR IS BAPTIST CHURCH
"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen.
Praise ye the Lord."P s a l m 1 0 6 : 4 8
OUR PURPOSEAt Glen Iris, we desire to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in all that we do. We endeavor to accomplish this by obeying His Word in the following areas: offering the sacrifice of praise, giving thanks to His name continually with the fruit of our lips, doing good and sharing our gifts and abilities, assembling together regularly for worship and instruction in righteousness, and encouraging one another unto love and good works. Our burden is to take the gospel to every creature, in the various ways made available to us. This, we believe, is accomplished by holding fast the faithful Word in teaching sound doctrine (Hebrews 13:15-17; Mark 16:15; Titus 1:9).
Welcome toWe want you to know that we have prayed for you and that we have asked the Lord to bring to our fellowship those to whom we can minister. We trust that you will feel welcomed, that you will be encouraged by worshiping with us, and that you will be a guest of ours again soon. If we can be of assistance to you, we would count it an honor. We desire to minister to you in any way possible. If any of us can be of help to you, please call the church office at 323-1516. Thank you for coming!

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
SUNDAY SCHOOLSunday school is an important time, dedicated to delving into the Word of God to find all the treasures God has for us there. Our Sunday school teachers systematically teach through the Scriptures each week, line upon line, precept upon precept. There is a Bible class for each age group, and a list of all classes and their locations can be found in the church vestibule.
SUNDAY MORNING & EVENING SERVICESGod has mandated the preaching of the gospel (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:47; John 20:21). Because we believe that a service should be designated for this purpose, we usually set aside Sunday morning for this important ministry. The teaching ministry of the shepherd is equally important for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry. Establishing believers in sound doctrine is best achieved by an expository
teaching ministry. Sunday evening is devoted to this purpose.

Gospel Outreach & Visitation – 6:00 P.M.TUESDAY
We earnestly ask that every sincere worshiper will enter the auditorium in an attitude of reverence, silencing electronic devices, and as the prelude music begins, to prayerfully seek
the Lord's face and blessing.
Please join in the congregational singing, carefully considering what is being taught in the song and, above all, being concerned to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.
“Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”

JAMES 5:16
•
Verse OneO church, arise and put your armor on;
Hear the call of Christ our Captain; For now the weak can say that they are strong
In the strength that God has given. With shield of faith and belt of truth,
We'll stand against the devil's lies;An army bold whose battle cry is "Love!"
Reaching out to those in darkness.
Verse TwoOur call to war, to love the captive soul,
But to rage against the captor; And with the sword that makes the wounded whole,
We will fight with faith and valor. When faced with trials on ev'ry side,
We know the outcome is secure,And Christ will have the prize for which He died—
An inheritance of nations.
Verse ThreeCome, see the cross where love and mercy meet,
As the Son of God is stricken; Then see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet,
For the Conqueror has risen! And as the stone is rolled away,
And Christ emerges from the grave,This vict'ry march continues till the day
Ev'ry eye and heart shall see Him.
Verse FourSo Spirit, come, put strength in ev'ry stride,
Give grace for ev'ry hurdle,That we may run with faith to win the prize
Of a servant good and faithful. As saints of old still line the way,Retelling triumphs of His grace,
We hear their calls and hunger for the dayWhen, with Christ, we stand in glory.
"O CHURCH, ARISE" Words & Music by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend
Verse OnePrecious cornerstone, sure foundation,
You are faithful to the end.We are waiting on You, Jesus;
We believe You're all to us.
ChorusLet the glory of Your name be the passion of the Church;Let the righteousness of God be a holy flame that burns;Let the saving love of Christ be the measure of our lives.
We believe You're all to us.
Verse TwoOnly Son of God, sent from heaven,
Hope and mercy at the cross; You are ev'rything, You're the promise.
Jesus, You are all to us.
Verse ThreeWhen this passing world is over,
We will see You face to face,And forever we will worship.
Jesus, You are all to us.
