The Living Memorial ®
With the purchase of a Batesville casket, cremation casket or Options® cremation urn, we will arrange for the Living Memorial® Program at no additional cost to you. Through this very special program, which began in 1976, a seedling will be planted by the United States Forest Service in a National Forest in memory of your loved one.
The program has been responsible for planting in most of the 156 National Forests. The Living Memorial® Program has contributed more than nine million trees and reforested more than 14,500 acres in the past two decades. It is now the largest reforestation project in the United States.
More than just a fitting tribute, this program provides for trees that shelter our wildlife, reduce water and wind erosion and contribute to the purity of the air we breathe. Their existence brings comfort and hope. They will ensure that generations to come will know the beauty of a green plant. What a better legacy to leave? As a life ends, a new life begins.

Personalizing your Casket SelectionCustom Embroidered Cap PanelsEmbroidered cap panels can add personality to your selection. A variety of selections are available in materials that will match the interior of the casket selected. Custom panels can be created by incorporating an element of the life lived. All cap panels are placed in the lid of the casket and will be visible during the viewing and/or visitation.

Caskets with LifeSymbols® CornersLifeSymbols® Corners are available on selected caskets. These unique accents allow for further personalization of the casket. Each LifeSymbols® casket comes with four LifeSymbols® corners that can be removed and kept as personal keepsakes. Each LifeSymbols® corner can be placed on a keepsake plaque. These plaques allow for a photo of your loved one (see page 30 for an example of a LifeSymbols® plaque).
