IntroductionWelcome to another exciting season at The Lights with both old favourites and an array of new shows and events, giving you an excellent excuse to banish those post Christmas blues and experience some top quality entertainment.

We always try to bring a wide range of entertainment to you, incorporating drama, comedy, ballet, tribute

shows, folk and much more into our programme. In the spring, we are pleased to introduce a new venture to our arena programme as we bring some up and coming bands from the local festival scene to The Lights. Check out the ‘Festival Favourites’ in our programme to see just what is in store!

Many of you have been disappointed in the past to miss out on some of the big names we have been privileged to bring to The Lights. The best way to make sure you are ahead of the pack and receive advance notice of all shows and events is to become one of our merry band of Spotlight Members. Membership costs only £20 a year and includes not only a wide

range of ticket offers, but also discounts at a number of pubs and restaurants around the town which are perfect for pre-show dining.

Parking is now a little easier at The Lights with the introduction of the new car park on West Street which offers free parking after 4pm. We have also had cycle racks installed at the front of the building for those of you visiting us via pedal power.

Be sure to keep an eye out for us on the ‘My Theatre’ app which is a great addition to your smart phone or tablet and easily accessible to keep you up to date with What’s On at The Lights.

As always, another busy season lies ahead at The Lights, so a big thank you to the staff and volunteers at the venue who work so hard to ensure we maintain the high standard you have come to expect and thank you to you for your continued enthusiasm and support.

So many people love the sound of a great saxophone solo and for good reason. In the right hands sax is emotional, passionate; it sings, screams, whispers.

The New Classic Sax Solos tour sees Snake Davis step into a 5 piece band and perform a myriad of classics, including Baker Street, Careless Whisper, Respect, and his own solos from Million Love Songs, Moving on Up and Search for the Hero. What’s more, he also tells you about the songs, giving fascinating facts and insights into the music we already love.
