•Pablo studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Spain
•His earliest work began at the age of 14•At 17 he moved to France and began painting landscapes, scenes of daily life, friends and performers.
The Blue PeriodThe Blue Period
• Pablo created his works in “periods” , the first was the blue period from 1901-1903
•The blue period used dark colors to show sadness and poverty
The Rose PeriodThe Rose Period
• His next period became known as the Rose Period from 1904-1905 Su próxima perioda era “el periodo rosa” de 1904-1905
• He was fascinated with alienation, and continued the theme although began to use warmer colors Estaba fascinado con la soledad, y se continuó con esa téma aunque empezó a usar las colores mas tibias

•He begins to use other more modern infleunces like sharper lines, flat colors, and mask like faces
•It was from that period of change that came his most famous and revolutionary period known as Cubisim 1908-1917
• During this period of his work he created the art of collage His use of various art techniques finally becomes recognized
• Picasso’s last period was called the Neo-Classical. He tried to given into society and be something he wasn’t.
• This period was the shortest and produced the fewest pieces

After Picasso tries to conform, and is unsuccessful, he reverts back to who he is and begins to paint his Abstract art again.
He continues to paint well into the 1960’s keeping true to his style, and using more color than ever.
Pablo Picasso died at age 92 in 1973
