Many years ago there lived a king.He loved new clothes. He never went intotown unless it was to show off his newclothes.

One day two swindlers had newclothes that disappear if you are dumb oryou are not fit for your job. The kingdeclared he would have some of theclothes so they stared working. They putnothing \n the bag and they went to theking. He thought, "Am I dumb or am I notfit to be king?"

The king was horrified but he said,"Oh yes, it is very colorful and it looks sogood." So the king had a parade wearinghis new clothes. He walked proudly downthe street. But then a child said, "But hehas nothing on!" All the people agreed andhe had the most unpleasant feeling thatthe people were right.

The king walked down the streetand finished the parade.
