ISO TrI-ACTIvE TECHNOLOGYThis unique blend of moisturizers, cationic proteins and vitamin C provides deeper cuticle penetration and color durability, while protecting hair from damage. Positively-charged proteins and vitamins are naturally attracted to the negatively-charged, damaged sites that occur on the hair strand.

OxIdATIvE dYE SYSTEmA balanced blend of ammonia, oxidative dyes and developer activates dye molecules to produce maximum development, ensure gray coverage and deliver predictable color results with every application. The lightening process is also simultaneous to the coloring process.

CALIbrATEd AmmONIA SYSTEmBy using as little ammonia as possible, and by varying the amount of ammonia per level, i.color ensures predictable color results every time.

TrIPLEx-C®

An exclusive, patented conditioning complex that can substantially and effectively seal and condition the hair. Triplex-C ensures longer- lasting color and a smoother surface by remaining on the hair through up to 20 shampoos. This complex of beeswax, lecithin and protein provides the exceptional conditioning action that is attainable only with i.color products. It’s important to note that as an organic compound, protein reconstructs hair without inhibiting the coloring process.

duAL-ACTION LIfTING ANd dEPOSITINGi.color’s indirect dye molecule requires oxygen for activation. This activation enlarges the molecule inside the cortex during the color process. The developer is responsible for oxidizing the dye molecule. The calibrated ammonia system swells and opens the cuticle, allowing the molecule to penetrate into the cortex. Once there, the dual action occurs—lifting and depositing simultaneously. The result? Beautiful, natural, healthy-looking hair and color via a gentle delivery system; 100% gray coverage, and minimum ammonia with maximum results.

1. THE I.COLOr LETTEr SYSTEmEach i.color crème color comes in a 2 oz. (60 ml) tube. Each tube displays a number indicating the color level and one or two letters indicating the tone. Where two letters are displayed, the first letter indicates the more dominant tone and the second letter indicates the secondary tone. Example: 6CG (Dark Copper Gold) 6 = Level 6, Dark Blonde C = Dominant tone, Copper G = Secondary tone, Gold

2. THE I.COLOr NumbEr SYSTEmEach tube also contains a numeric identification system which indicates level and tone. The first number indicates the level. The second number indicates the dominant tone, and the third number represents the secondary tone. The i.color tonal number system 0 = Natural 1= Ash 2 = Gray 3 = Gold 4 = Copper 5 = Red 6 = Mahogany 7 = Violet 8 = Brunette Example: 6CG (Dark Copper Gold) = 6.43 6 = Level (Dark Blonde) 4 = Dominant tone (Copper) 3 = Secondary tone (Gold)

MAINTAMEr FAQs HOW IS MAINTAMER uNIquE? Maintamer has a thio-free formula so it alters the pattern of naturally curly or previously permed hair while it maintains a healthy cuticle for damage-free, frizz-free styles.

WHICH CLIENTS SHOuLD uSE MAINTAMER? Maintamer is ideal for clients who want to smooth coarse hair, tame unruly curls and waves, un-perm ends and control hair that experiences “frizzies” in high humidity.

HOW MANy FORMuLAS DOES MAINTAMER HAVE? Maintamer comes in one formula for all clients. It is formulated for normal, permed or tinted hair (up to 20 volume) and lightly highlighted (up to 40%) hair. Maintamer can not be used on bleached highlighted hair over 40%.

WHAT COMPONENTS ARE IN THE MAINTAMER STRAIGHTENING SySTEM?STEP 1 A rich crème softener with a thio-free, ISOamine™ formula that gently

softens the hair bonds. STEP 2 A creamy liquid conditioning neutralizer that reforms the bonds.

WHAT KEy INGREDIENTS DELIVER THE OuTSTANDING RESuLTS IN MAINTAMER? A unique blend of ISOamine™, silicones and high conditioning agents to protect and deliver fabulous results.

DOES MAINTAMER CONTAIN FORMALDEHyDE? No, Maintamer does not contain formaldehyde or formaldehyde releasing derivatives.

CAN MAINTAMER BE uSED TO STRAIGHTEN AFRO-AMERICAN HAIR TyPES? Maintamer is not designed to be used on Afro-American hair types and will not yield optimal results. The result will have a minimal effect. It may tame the curl but it will not eliminate it. Take care with fine hair types.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESuLTS LAST? The hair that has been straightened with Maintamer will remain straight. The re-growth area will need to be re-touched every 6 to 8 weeks.

CAN THIS PRODuCT BE uSED IF THERE IS A THIO PRODuCT ALREADy IN THE HAIR? yes, Maintamer may be used if a thio relaxer or permanent wave has been used in the past. The key is to ensure the hair is in good condition. Do a visual check for porosity and overall health then do the sink or float test.

ARE THERE DEDICATED FOLLOW-uP PRODuCTS FOR HOME CARE? yes, ISO Tamer products are specially formulated to complement Maintamer services.

WHAT OTHER CHEMICAL SERVICES ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THIS PRODuCT? Maintamer can be applied on the same day as hair coloring. you should limit the color to demi-permanent or permanent color with up to 20 volume developer. The only product/ingredient not compatible with Maintamer is Sodium Hydroxide.

My CLIENT HAS A SLIGHT BEND ON THE TOP OF HIS HAIR, WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THIS OuT? Maintamer is perfect to re-direct stubborn cowlicks and undesired waves and movement. you need only apply Maintamer service to the affected area. Keep in mind that Maintamer should never be applied at the scalp and should be kept at least ½” from the scalp.

CAN MAINTAMER BE uSED THE SAME AS A PERM WITH RODS juST TO RE-ARRANGE THE NATuRAL CuRL? It can be used to soften, reduce or eliminate curl. It can not be used to re-arrange natural curl however; Options waves would be the best service to rearrange natural curl.
