Instructions:
1. Make three copies of the word sheets. Use two copies to create flash cards for matching, selecting, and naming.2. Teach your child to read the words by sight using matching, selecting, and naming (reading the words by sight). I
recommend teaching only 1-2 words at a time. 3. Print the first page on card stock.4. Staple all the noun words together at the top and affix them to box A.5. Staple all the adjective words together at the top and affix them to box B. 6. Print the picture cards.
You can now use the flap book in three ways:1. Create a sentence and place two pictures below the sentence, once of which matches the sentence. Help your
child read the sentence and choose the picture that matches the sentence.2. Let your child create random sentences by switching up the nouns and adjectives. For example, your child can create the sentence: The dog is dirty, or The dog is wet, or The cat is big, etc. Once your child creates a sentence, help him/her choose a picture that matches the sentence. Make sure you point out any funny sentences, such as The cat is blue. 3. Let your child choose a picture and help him construct a sentence to match it by finding the correct noun and adjective.
