Main Events -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* Foundation Day Celebration The foundation day of IETE was celebrated by Rajkot centre on 10th Nov. 2019 (Sunday) at centre’s premises in lect hall no. 2. Necessary publicity was made at centre and communicated the celebration program to the members, student’s members, local Engg. / Technical institutions & interested technical persons of industries. It was celebrated by arranging technical lecture on “Role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the development of Society” the theme provided by IETE H/Q. The expert talk was delivered by Ms. Sheetal Pandya, Assistant Professor, CE Department School of Engineering, R K University Rajkot . Ms. Sheetal Pandya, Key note speaker narrated in details about role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the development of society. The speech was impressive and full of information in details with examples. The audience had informative technical discussion on this theme of present era and had number of queries which made the function live and full of momentum. The programme started at 10:15 hrs. with the welcome address by Er. H. S. Goswami , Rtd. Dy. Director Doordarsan Kendra Rajkot and member of IETE Rajkot Centre.

Er. C. M. Devani , IBS (Rtd.) Founder Chairman IETE Rajkot delivered the lecture on history of IETE with the development as on today . Er. V. K. Kathiriya, Rtd. Assistant Director Doordarsan Kendra Rajkot and member IETE Rajkot Centre read out the President’s Message before the audience.

Vote of thanks by Mr. Paras Vadgama , Member IETE Rajkot Centre. He specially thanked to the speaker & appreciated his efforts. Present IETE Members & student members expressed their views on the theme during group discussion . Programme was followed by Hi tea .

* IETE Student’s Day Celebration : The IETE Student’s Day was celebrated by IETE Rajkot centre on 2nd Feb. 2020 (Sunday) . Necessary publicity was made by centre and communicated to the members, students members , local Colleges institutions / Universities & interested persons of industries . Keeping in mind about celebration of this day, Various Technical establishments around Rajkot city were approached for their consent and convenience There were more proposals of visiting ECHJAY Industries Pvt. Ltd. , 10 K.M. away from centre , Very prominent name working with ultra modern technologies . Necessary efforts were made by Mr. Brijesh , OA of this centre under the guidelines of Dr. Rahul D. Mehta, Hon. Secretary of IETE Rajkot centre & fixed 2nd Feb. 20 (Sunday) for visit from 14:00 hrs. to 17:30 hrs. After proper consents of Dr. H. N. Pandya Chairman and other members of ex. Committee . Transportation Facility has arranged by IETE Centre Rajkot  left at 14:00 hrs. from centre to ECHJAY Industries Pvt. Ltd. Er. Mohit Parbat , Executive Committee Member & Er. Brijesh Mehta , IETE Member accompanied the team of 40 members . On reaching at 14:15 hrs. Mr. Mohan Bhai and Mr. Rasikbhai were contacted who guided all the technical section of Industries . Company has recently completed 50 years . They are mainly in forging and manufacturing the parts of all automotive industry. They have huge machine they can create 6 meter long ring for pipeline and small gear parts of cars . There are 10 department which are working on the base of requirements of the clients of India and foreign countries. They have approximately 182 type of raw materials. Which they convert into the parts as per the requirement. All departments has their own specialty and they have CNC machine and robotics machine. The clients of this industry are TATA Motors , Meritor , Mahindra , Faurecia , Ashok Leyland , SIAP , Indian Railway , L&T , TAFE , CAT, Allied Group , Godrej etc.

Students asked various question at different points. Mr. Rasikbhai explained each and every question with his skill and communication. Hi tea were served by the Company authorities as a mark of Hospitality . Er. Parbat – starched the opportunity to inform in details to Industry authorities and other visitors about the role of IETE in practical and study points in general. After returning back at Centre at about 13:45 hrs.“A review Meeting” and “Group Discussion” were arranged. Er. Brijesh Mehta , Associate Member read out the president message .

* International Woman’s Day Celebration :

Report : Workshop Cum expert talk on “Naturopathy , Ayurved & Yoga at

IETE Rajkot Centre on 8th March 2020 . -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The IETE Rajkot centre organized workshop cum expert talks on “Naturopathy, Ayurved & Yoga”. It will especially be useful for the women and also escape to corona virus . The event was arranged on 8th March (International Women’s Day) at IETE Rajkot Centre . Necessary publicity was made by centre and communicated to the members & women nearby this centre. The programme started on 8th March 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Dignitaries were honored by the Bouquet . Welcome address by Dr. Rahul D. Mehta , Hon. Secretary IETE Rajkot Centre . Er. C. M. Devani , IBS (Rtd.) Founder Chairman told about IETE with development as on today .

Dr. Manishben Pandya , MD Naturopathy Suzok and Yoga Teacher was the chief guest of this function and talk about Yoga and Naturopathy useful for women in day to day life . An expert Prof. Dr. Umesh Pandya , MD Rasshastra , Nobel Ayurvedic College , Junagadh was delivered expert talk on Ayurveda and live demonstration on how to made of some ayurvedic medicine and also useful in day to day life .

Experts explained their topics practically in details and other parameters . Natural Ayurvedik healthy tonic / drink were served to participants and Members . The audience had informative discussion on these topics and had number of queries which made the function live and full of momentum. On behalf of all participants Mrs. Aartiben Mankad told to IETE Rajkot centre’s authorities for very good activities run by this institution useful for women. Thankful to IETE Authorities, Expert faculties, Staff members etc.

Dr. H. N. Pandya -Chairman , Dr. Rahul D. Mehta- Hon. Secretary and Dr. Atul M. Gonsai -Hon. Treasurer and Executive committee members encouraged many women to participate the event .

35 women participants have registered in this workshop . All the participants were presented the gifts by IETE Rajkot .

Hi - tea was arranged for participants , dignitaries & members .

Vote of thanks was offered by Er. S. M. Suchday , Executive Committee Member IETE Rajkot.

Ms. Gopi Pandya and Brijesh IETE Rajkot handled overall function very efficiency .

INTERNATIONAL WOMAN’S DAY CELEBRATION PHOTOGRAPHS

* National Level Technical Event on “TECHNOPLANET-2019” at R K University : The National Level Technical Event on “TECHNOPLANET – 2019” organized by The School of Engineering R K University , School of Diploma studies R K University in association with IETE RAJKOT CENTRE, ORACLE, CISCO, IEI, ISTE at R K University premises on 3rd & 4th Oct. 2019. More than 500 participants had arrived to take part in various Workshops and Events from different institutions across the India.

The Event was inaugurated in presence of Mr. Rushi Chauhan (Assistant Engineer Town

planning department , Rajkot Municipal Corporation) , Mr. Kapil Gaglani (Assistant Engineer Irrigation Dept. Govt. of Gujarat) , Mr. Hitesh Savalia (Director –Aarohi Embedded System Pvt. Ltd.) , Mr. Annirudh Nagodara (Managing Direcotr – Version System Rajkot) Mr. Jatin Kataria (CEO, We Group , Rajkot ), Mr. Jaydeep Dodiya (Senior Engineer, Impetus Prolific Pvt. Ltd. Rajkot) , Mr. Denish Patel (Vice President R K University Rajkot) and Dr. Nilesh Kalani (Dean, Faculty of Technology R K University and Fellow and Co. Op. Member IETE Rajkot Centre).

Mr. Denish Patel, Executive Vice President R K University welcome the guests and

participants . Dr. Nilesh Kalani, Dean Faculty of Technology explained about the objective of this event .

On the 1st day of the Program, total 5 workshops on different topics were organized by various departments of the School of Engineering and School of Diploma studies. These workshops were on Aero-modeling, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and AutoCAD with trending concept and iOS application development along with a total of 150 participants. On the 2nd day of program, a total of 8 different technical events along with various non-technical events were organized. These events were Kings of Circuits, Data Discovery, Excogitation, Project Competition, Poster Presentation, Surveying Hunt, and Troubleshooting & Netathon along with 478 participants. The University had extended its resources to the secondary and higher secondary school students. More than 1400 students also visited during the event. They visited different events and explored their knowledge. There were two special short workshops and two competitions for them. One workshop was on mechanism design and the other was on Android application development. Two competitions were on Tower building challenge and online quiz on basic science. The winners were given huge prizes for these competitions. Students enjoyed a lot and learnt a lot. At the end of the second day, event winners of all the technical events were given good prizes. A short valedictory function was held at central Seminar Hall where the prizes were given in presence of Guests , Dean and Vice President, Mr. Denish Patel. Convener-Dr. Chetankumar Patel had concluded with the grand success of the two days program.

“TECHNOPLANET-19” EVENT PHOTOGRAPHS

* Technical Lectures Organized at INS Valsura Jamnagar The Institution Of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Rajkot Centre & INS Valsura organizational member of IETE Rajkot Centre jointly organized technical lectures on “Stealth Technologies for reducing radar signature” and “Latency in optical fiber and methods to reduce it” on 4th Oct. 2019 in two session at Seminar Hall, INS Valsura Jamnagar.

Captain P K Yaduvanshi, Training Captain INS Valsura Jamnagar was the chief guest of this function inspite of his very tight work scheduled .

Key note speaker Dr. Shobhit K. Patel, Associate Professor EC Department, Marwadi Education Foundation Group of Institutions delivered the lecture on “Stealth Technologies for reducing radar signature” in details”. The questions raised by the officers and cadets of INS Valsura were connected with the defense were explained by Dr. Patel. Dr. Sunil P. Lavadiya , Assistant Professor , Marwadi Education Foundation Group of Institutions . Rajkot, delivered the lecture on “Latency in optical fiber and methods to reduce it” The questions raised connected to the defense were properly addressed by Dr. Lavadiya .

The audience had informative technical discussion on these topics and had number of queries which made the function live and full of momentum .

Er. S. M. Suchday Executive committee member Rajkot and Er. Mohit Parbat Executive committee member Rajkot, were present and guided whole the function with the help of INS Valsura officers. Mr. Brijesh, Office assistant handled all administration ,correspondence and communication and account related work .

All speakers were presented mementoes by INS Valsura Jamnagar . Vote of thanks was delivered by Lt. Cdr. Issan Chaturvedi of INS Valsura.

* Lectures on Introduction to Vipashyana: This centre organized lecture on Introduction to Vipashyana on 7th July 2019 . Mr. Rajubhai Mehta , Vipashyana Acharya was the Key note speaker of this event . Mr. S. M. Suchdey , Executive committee members Rajkot centre and Vipashyana Guru delivered advantages of Vipashyana and how to useful in our day to day life / health also . Fifty two IETE members with family members attended and appreciated this noble activity .

* Present Status of Reorganization of IETE :- As per public Notice from AICTE for professional Bodies/Institutions. Accordingly, the council in its 52nd Emergent Meeting held on August 03 , 2017 decided to recognize equivalence for all purposes including higher education & employment to technical courses conducted by various professional bodies/institutions which were duly recognized by MHRD with permanent recognition up to 31st May 2013 . Thus all those students who were enrolled with these institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013, stand recognized. Advt. no. P&AP/10(04) 2017. * New Students Enrolment :- This centre regularly publishes the Academic activities in the local news papers. Seminars, workshops , technical & general lectures on running topics etc. are being arranged time to time and proper publicity is made in local news papers . Also schools & colleges / poly technique are contacted time to time to enhance the IETE membership & student’s membership. In spite of all our efforts to increase the strength of new student’s enrolment, it is getting less day by day. This is the situation at all IETE centers may be due to private / self finance colleges coming up in vast scale in entire country / de recognition by HRD & court case . As per the Delhi high court has ordered that no fresh admissions will be made by the IETE till further orders of the court. * Guidance Workshop for GATE / UPSC / Other Competitive Examination : This centre arranged guidance workshop for completed AMIETE / DIPIETE students and also for Degree/ Diploma classes students of other universities about GATE / UPSC and Other competitive examination also guided about these examinations. This centre planning to Start GATE coaching . Attempts are being made to conduct counseling /coaching classes in other discipline of science / engineering education by making MOU if possible for few hours daily for short duration which may fetch some revenue / amount to meet day to day maintenance of building & other expenditures. * IETE Membership :- Addition / Upgrade of new Fellow / Member - 3 * Technical / Industrial Visit : The different organization like INS Valsura Jamnagar, AIR – Transmitter, ECHJAY Industries Pvt. Ltd. and other industries in the area were visited. The authorities were requested to visit our centre to enhance the mutual activities. * Celebration of the 52nd World Telecommunication Day :- As per the advice received from IETE H/Q., due to COVID-19 situation, all the IETE Centers are required to conducted this celebration through different online platforms . The celebration of World Telecommunication Day was done in collaboration with the Alumni Association of Government Engineering College, Rajkot. The online Expert Talk was delivered by Mr. Dharmesh Kavaiya (IoT Analyst at Infosys Ltd.) on 'Industrial IoT, Industrial Automation, IoT'.
