SECTION – 5A

BILL OF QUANTITIES

Preambles : General Notes

1 Rates mentioned in BOQ shall be inclusive of all taxes, as of date i.e. Composite VAT, GST, levies, transport, octroi, labour cess , Royalities etc. or any other tax as applicable in Hyderabad is inclusive in rates.

2 Rates quoted in this BOQ shall be applicable to any height & any location even if not specified in any item including steel (H frame, Ledger system etc.) scafolding, curing, cleanning, rectification etc. complete.

3 Details/ functions/ activities mention in preambles are included in quoted rates and nothing extra shall be paid for it.

4 Watching and lighting arrangements wherever necessary whether ordered by the Employer/ Architects or otherwise is included in items.

5 This bill of quantities is to be read in conjunction with the sketches/drawings, specifications, terms & conditions etc .

6 The quanties given are approximate and can vary up to any extent. The contractor will not be entitled to claim any extra on account of this quantity variation. Billing will be on actual measurement as executed and approved.

7 Contractor has quoted the rates after visting the site and after considering all local factors

8 Rates are inclusive of Carting away debris / Cleaning / Security / statutory/ approval for disposal of debris. Nothing extra shall be paid of disposal of malva outside premises.

9 Rates are quoted for finished items, wastage factor is on contractor part and measurement will be for finished item only.

10 The rates shall remain firm till the completion of the work and the contractor shall not be entitled to claim any escalation on any account till the completion of the project, in any respect.

11 Where ever applicable all the material samples should be got approved from Architect/employer for its quality, makes, colour, pattern etc. before start of work /mass procurement of material.

12 Manufacturer test certificates/testing from lab and test results will be provided along with the sample for all the materials procured at site.

13 Curing, slurry, scaffolding, etc. wherever applicable are included in item.

14 For all concrete, Brick, stone, flooring and other works except plastering, sand used shall be coarse sand and for plastering, it would be 50% coarse + 50% fine, unless specified otherwise.

15 All surfaces to be plastered/tiled, hacking of surface is included in items.

16 All cement related works shall be cured for 7 days or more as applicable as per specifications. The rate shall be also inclusive of covering with Hassian cloth and any other form of curing as directed.

17 Protection of all kinds of floorings with POP and polythene sheet etc. is included in item rate and nothing extra shall be paid for this. The rate is also inclusive of removing and cleaning the same after completion of work

18 Holes or pockets in the Brick work for Rain water pipes and other pipes shall be kept or the pipes shall be provided at the time of raising the masonary. These holes or Zarries should be made good after fixing of pipes and nothing extra shall be paid for the same.

19 Chiseling of brickwork, if required shall be done to flush the floor skirting with the wall. Nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

20 Grooves with cement finish up to 12 mm X 6 mm shall be formed in plaster at the junction of slab and beam and slab & brick work without any extra charge. Similar grooves shall be made in plaster at the junction of masonary and wood or steel door or steel window frames or at bottom of beams or chajja, slab projections as drip moulds without extra charge.

21 Water and electricity for all the work shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost .

22 Bailing out, pumping out or otherwise removing all water which may accumulate in the working areas from any or all causes what so ever is included in items. Nothing extra shall be paid for this...

23 Any activity not mentioned in the BOQ item description but is required for completion of that item shall be deemed to be included in the item and nothing extra shall be paid for it/on that account.

Removing of existing Gypsum ceiling in toilet with necessary arrangement of removing of electrical light fittings with not wastage of existing wires. Removing of existing toilet fitting & fixtures & conceal pipe properly without disturbing of water inlet pipe from

outside to avoid additional work. Breaking of existing dado & floor tile by breaker or manually properly. At the time of breaking brickwork or structure should not be hampered. Breaking of existing brickbat waterproofing upto slab level with clean surface of slab for new waterproofing work. Removing of drain pipe from waterproofing properly. Breaking of ledge wall & granite top if require for further plumbing work. Above work will be done as indicate & directed with necessary carting away of debris at ground level near building with all leads , lifts etc. complete in toilets. disposal of malva outside the premises should be done. Safeguard of all removed and un removed fittings/fixtures would be contractor’s responsibility and if lost/damaged, shall be replaced with new at his own cost, supporting it temporarily during repairs, providing and fixing new clips, switches, pattis, wires etc. if necessary including replacing existing/above mentioned sanitary & plumbing fittings (Jaquar/Parryware/ existing makes), if damaged.

MODIFICATION AS PER REQUIREMENT ONLY FOR GENTS TOILET BLOCK

Dismantling & breaking of above debris Shifting from ground level near building to outside premises of ICAI as dumping location given by ICAI officers. Prior inspection & approval from ICAI officers should be taken for local trip / carting etc. complete . After shifting of debris all the area should be clean properly to avoid any extra work as require etc. complete. The local trip vehicle will be checked from security . Vehicle charges will be in contractor scope.

For chemical waterproofing treatment , before start of work all the leakage area should be clean. Removing of plaster or tile properly to find out cracks in slab or walls. Application of waterproofing chemical should be properly with proper mixing proportion & process to ensure leakage work will be closed . Take the waterproofing test before any final work like dado / false ceiling. All above work will be carried out in ceiling & wall with dado near urinal & wash basins as require etc. complete. For above work quantity will be approx 60 sft. Specifications of Chemical Waterproofing including its method of application to be specified by contractor.

Before start of tile floor or dado repairing all area should be plastered , not any bricks / RCC will be exposed. Proper curing of wall require before work. Providing & fixing of existing tile shade / size matching for dado & flooring repair including preparation of surface, fixing of tile in cement mortar, filling of joints with cement slurry to bind adhesive of the tiles. All the tile joints to be filled by tile grout with matching shade properly. Curing as per requirement in toilet blocks etc. complete as per approved make.

After removing of existing door frame , wall area will be plastered or cementing work as require to giving finish surface. Providing & fixing of steel grey granite door frame with cutting, champer edge polish , corner joints in proper line & plumb. For fitting of door frame araldite & grit should be used for bonding in toilet block door frame etc complete as per approved make. Size - 2'6'' x 7'0'' . After fixing of granite frame side wall gaps should be plaster in finish. Proper curing will be required for frame as required etc. complete. Rates to be inclusive of cleaning of removed frames, shifting and staking of same at place / location as directed.

Providing & Fixing in position approved existing old urinals with consisting of waste coupling ,bottle trap , manual flush valve with making water and drain connections as required necessary fiiting etc. complete as per approved make. All the existing urinal will be used with proper care . Manual operated flush valve used to avoid maintenance in sensor system . Water inlet & drain outlet line should be connected in proper way to assure any leakage. Rate shall be inclusive of chipping, cutting, curing, and finishing the same. Complete as per the direction of Project incharge/Engineer.

Providing and fixing granite counter with kadappa with half or full round moulding, including cutting of kadappa slab & granite slab to receive drain cutout for existing wash basin. Wash basin counter should be carried out with necessary plumbing / drainage arrangement. The rate should be inclusive of providing and laying necessary backing material and joint filling compound of the same shade of the granite. All the joints between granite & wall will be plaster finish.

Rate shall be inclusive of chipping, cutting, curing, and finishing the same with proper support. Complete as per

Repairing damaged false ceiling with gypsum board including cutting and removing the damaged sheet, providing and fixing new sheet, replacing damaged channels/battens, section joiners/connecting clips, suspension rods/angles, suspension clips/fixtures, soffit cleats, expansion fasteners, galvanized screws, bolts, nuts and washers etc. complete. The rate shall be inclusive of covering the joints with perforated jointing paper tape as per manufacturer’s specification/recommendations, the beveled joints shall be filled with jointing compound and surface finished with two coats of paint matching with adjacent. Suitable openings shall be provided and framed in the false ceiling for fitting in light fixtures, air-conditioning grills, smoke/ heat detectors, sprinkler heads, public address speakers etc., wherever required.

Providing and fixing solid door shutter of sizes as per toilet openings. The door shutter shall consist of 30 mm thick...flush door in case of WC door it should be marine flush door. All edges of the door should be provided with 6mm thick C.P. teak wood lipping. The door shall be finished on both sides with 1mm thick laminate or prelaminated shutter. The rate shall include locking systems necessary hinges, handles, tower bolts or latch, stopper as required etc. complete for toilet shutter. SIZE 2'6'' X 7'0'' Door edges should be provided with minimum 12 mm thick teak wood lipping. Material, type, size and Nos. of locking system, hinges, tower bolts, latch, stopper etc. needs to be specified. Rate shall include fixing of removed/existing door closer.

All edges of the door should be provided with 6mm thick C.P. teak wood lipping. The door shall be finished on both sides with 1mm thick laminate or prelaminated shutter.

The rate shall include locking systems necessary hinges, handles, tower bolts or latch, stopper as required etc. complete for main door of block. SIZE 3'3'' X 7'0'' -Do- as mentioned in Item No. 1 (x).

Providing & Applying Plastic emulsion paint in 2 coats of approved shade of Dulux / Asian Paints Co. Ltd., including scrapping, opening of existing cracks, filling up of "V" cracks with epoxy expandable putty to required depths making smooth finish as required in toilet ceiling etc. complete.

Item shall be operative for other areas as well, if required/necessitated.

Item shall be inclusive 100% removing old loose paint, surface preparation, filling pot holes & depressions by “Palati” as per manufacturer’s specifications, priming coat, scaffolding, curing, forming grooves, patties, patta, grooves treatment & filling between walls and RCC members etc. complete. Rate shall be inclusive of proper covering and protection of windows, doors, pipes, floors, walls, plumbing and sanitary fittings and other areas. Splashes, if any, should be removed by the contractor at the end of day’s work.

Then suspending intermediate channels & suspending G.I. intermediate fixed to soffit with G.I. cleat and steel expansion fasteners fixing with 12 mm gypsum sheet with nylon joint strip for smooth finish of ceiling as required etc. complete in toilet block. All gypsum ceiling work in proper finish & levels as require.
