1. Paulus Orosius said the Huns filled the churches of the West.

2. Theodoret talks in two cases about spreading of christianity among nomadic Scythians (Huns).

3. Paulinus of Nola speaks in his poem Carmen about spreading of gospel among Scythians (Huns),Dacians and Getae (probably Goths) .

4. Saint Jerome talks about Huns learning the psalter and the frosts of Scythia are warmed by faith.

5. Asterius of Amasea when describing the Hun king in his work in 400 A.D., says, the Hun king sendshe's gilded crown and precious armour to church of Saint Pochas in Sinope.

6. Sozomen says that the Huns living alongside of Ister admired bishop Theotimus who was theecclesiastic governor of all Scythia with center in Tomis/Thomis [Themisuwar],and called him 'god of Romans' [Roman=Nomad,aramaeos=nomaeos/aromaei=nomaei].

7. Zacharias rhetor says the Huns in Caucasus have religios books in their own language.

8. Cosmas Indicopleustes says that among the Huns,Persians,Indians,Greeks,etc., there is an infinitenumber of churches with bishops and a vast multitude of christian people, and they have many martyrsand recluses leading a monastic life.

9. Moses Kagantvaci in description of the Kingdom of the Huns north to Derbent and it's capital Varachan, speaks about churches builded in Alp-Ilithver hun king's time in 7th century.

10. The Life of Saint Cyril reffers to Hungarians (Turks) in 867 as christians and having their own liturgical books.

11. Ibn Rusta reffers on Hungarians 'beying on christian faith' (probably manichean) .

12. Nikephorus I of Constantinople says about christian Huns in 7th century.

13. Photios I of Constantinople says the Turks (Hungarians) are on manichean faith.

14. Hun graves near by the church of Sopianae (Pécs) indicate the christianity of Huns (is about graves with horse burial).

15. The History of Mar Aba says that the Huns of Hephthalite kingdom were christians in 549 A.D.

16. In 498 A.D. is said that among the Huns of Hephthalite kingdom were many christians

17. In 787 the Huns of Crimea had bishops in Mangup-Kale (Doros)

18. Ephraim the Confessor is said was bishop of Hunnia in 4th century

19. In 5th century bishop Jonas is mentioned to be serving in the land of Huns

20. In the begining of 5th century, Mesrop Mashtots and his disciples were preaching among Scythians( Huns north to Derbent Pass in Caucasus) and converted their commanders.



21. In the end of 6th and begining of 7th century the Aghovanian monks made missions to the Huns inCaucasus

30. The Hodoiporia a greek geographical text of 4th century, reports that christianity had spread as farto the land of Huns, India and Askum.

31. Yeghishe Vardapet (Egise,Elishe) (410-475) says the christianity spread to the land of Kushans

(K'ushank) in 4-th century. [the Kushans are Hun according to Vardapet when he says about their

kingdom]

32. The apocryphal Acts of Thomas (early 3th century) mentions christians in the land of Kushans

33. Zacharias rhetor (6th century) says that the Huns were christians and catholicos Grigor was their

bishop in Dvin

34. Eusebius (265-340) wrote about presence of christians among Huns-Scythians in Asia

36. In early chronicles of Synods, Transoxania (central Asia) is called Metropolitan of the Turks

37. In Legenda Pannonica (Vita Methodii) is said that the Hungarian king (rex Ungricus) when meating

[not eating] Methodius on Danube between 860-880, the king received him with honour, and after the

meating he dismissed Method with gifts and kissed him fraternal for farewell, and asked Method to



'remember him in his prayers'.

40. Movses Dasxuranci (Kaghankatvatsi) [10th century] talks about Yunan, a Hun archbishop from theland of Massagetae before 415 a.d. (the Massagetae are Huns in armenian and byzantine sources)

41. Epiphanius (320-403) says;

The first is Barbarism, which prevailed without a rival from the days of Adam through ten generations to

the time of Noah. It is called Barbarism, because men had no rulers, nor submitted to any particular

discipline of life; but as each thought proper to prescribe to himself; so he was at liberty to follow the

dictates of his own inclination.The second is Scythism which prevailed from the days of Noah and thence

downwards to the building of the tower and Babylon, and for a few years subsequently to that time,

that is to the days of Phalec and Ragau. But the nations which incline upon the borders of Europe

continued addicted to the Scythic heresy, and the customs of the Scythians to the age of Thera, and

afterwards; of this sect also were the Thracians.
