It is attracting large crowds and reportedly drawing large numbers of new fans into its fan base. The movie is based on a book by Suzanne Collins, titled Catching Fire. Hunger Games: Catching Fire continues the story of the first and begins with the fearless warrior Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) celebrating her win of the 74th Hunger Games. She tours with co-winner and hero Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) where she senses a rebellion brewing in the masses. She soon realises that winning the 74th Hunger Games was no ticket to freedom and a 75th Hunger Games is announced where participants fight for the right to live. The government is as corrupt as ever, and Snow, the evil ruler of all the Districts is performed vividly by the well known Donald Sutherland. The versatile and popular Woody Harrelson retains his role as mentor to Peeta and Katniss – and I have one word for Harrelson’s performance and that word is...”wow”. Directed by Francis Lawrence this production, set in a futuristic world is sleek, visually stunning and full of action and deserving of the accolades being poured onto it. Don’t miss it – I’m giving it four and half stars. see more at www.facebook.com/AngeDeanFilmReviewer
