Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Mahatma Gandhi communicated a quintes-
sential message to the nation through his
efforts to educate people around him about
cleanliness. He wished to see a “Clean India”
where people work hand in hand to make the
country clean. To work seriously towards
this vision of Gandhiji, Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat
Abhiyaan on October 2, 2015 and asked
people from all walks of life to help in
successful implementation of this
mission.
In response to the call given by
the Hon’ble prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi, the Swachh Bharat
Abhiyan was launched at BGIT by the an
enthusiastic bunch of students and teachers
.

Maratha Mandir - a charitable institution was established in 1945 by a few men of vision who perceived that the forthcoming Independence by itself would not bring back the glorious past of India, with over 80% of its populace living in rural areas without education. They recognized the need of the hour and setup strong institution to educate the populace, to make them aware of the rights as well as what they can be and what they can do for the nation. It was thus decided that the institution of Maratha Mandir would be open to everyone irrespective of his or her religion, caste, and language. The founders named this institution as “Maratha Mandir” the word “Maratha” to mean all those who consider Maharashtra as their domicile and the word “Mandir” to signify the purity in human life.
