Accessing Mouse Resources The Harwell Archive is a member of the European Mouse Mutant Archive (EMMA) supported by Infrafrontier - a world-class research infrastructure that archives and distributes scientifically valuable mouse lines. EMMA requests and shipment data The Harwell Archive, MRC Harwell Institute, maintains a non-profit frozen mouse biobank. Originally set up in the mid 1970’s the aim of the archive is to collate a library of useful mouse models which are then made publically available and accessible to the scientific community. The archive is built on a cost recovery model which offers a free archiving service to those wishing to secure their stock, with any costs recuperated from future clients who order the lines.
