Founded in 2003 - The Regional Centre for Continuous

Training of the Local Public Administration Timişoara is a

public institution, a legal entity, under the methodological

coordination of Ministry of Administration and Interior and of the

National Agency of Civil Servants.Since the beginning of our activity, our centre has been constantly developing the quality and the quantity of its training programmes as well its activity’s efficiency.

Our institution organizes training programmes for the civil servants and for the contractual personnel in the local public administration, as well as for the local elected officials in the Vest Development Region.

In 2005, in partnership with Tibiscus University of Timişoara and with the General Direction Of Public Finances, the Regional Training Centre has begun a study of the efficiency of the use of public funds destined to thr training of the local public administration. This study has allowed us to appreciate the importance given by the local authorities to continuous training and professional improvemenrt for the civil servants, the level of the funds assigned for this purpose and the level of satisfaction of the civil servants who have participated in these programmes.

At the beginning of 2008, the Regional Centre of Timisoara implemented the Quality Management system ISO 9001/ 2001.

In 2007, the Regional Training Centre of Timisoara and its partners from dbb akademie from Bonn, Germany, have started the project « Support for the RTC Timisoara ». The purpose of this project was the development of the Centre’s capacities, in order to fulfill the needs of professional improvement of the local public administration from the Vest Development Region. With the support of our partners, we organized training programmes, Train the Trainers sessions and study tours. We have also published a newsletter, the Info-Bulletin, whose aim was to give the public institutions of the Vest Region an opportunity to raise awareness about their activity and to offer good practice examples. This project ended in October 2009.RTC Timişoara and Toša Jovanović Theatre of Zrenjanin are partners of the Banat Philharmonic of Timişoara in the project EUROBANAT - CULTURAL IDENTITY, funded by the Neighborhood Programme PHARE CBC Romania-Serbia 2006. According to the partnership agreement signed with the Banatul Philharmonic of Timisoara, four training modules on various cultural topics were organized: Regulatory and specific approaches to cultural policies of European countries, Management of cultural institutions, Project writing and cultural projects management, Cultural Tourism - Entrepreneurship and Education.RTC Timisoara has signed the contract for project funding of "Adaptability and efficiency of the human resources of employees (AERUM) under Sectorial Operational Programme Human Resources Development: - the project goal - increasing the capacity of companies and employees of the western region to adapt to changes caused by the specific competition of market economy, promoting a culture based on flexible management and development of their own human resources.- the specific goal of the project is developing the adaptability and professional skills of managers and employees of 336 companies in the Western Region in order to improve organizational flexibility and specific training in human resources management, in project management and public acquisitions for a period of 24 months
