The KOVA® System includes specially engineered microscopic slides, sample tubes and caps, custom pipettes or “petters”, collection cups and multi-level urinalysis controls for reliable, simple and effective workflow standardization. KOVA® Tubes are marked in 1-mL graduations and have a capacity of 12mL. Tubes are helpful while transporting, centrifuging and decanting to guard against sample loss. KOVA® super tubes are made of break resistant K-Resin and KOVA® economy tubes are made of clear polystyrene.

KOVA® Tube Caps Fit both Super and Economy Tubes, providing secure closures during transport and storage. They also prevent the aerosoling of potentially infectious specimens during centrifugation. A convenient flip cap covers one-third of cap circumference.

The KOVA® Decanting Petter is a multipurpose plastic transfer pipette designed for contamination-free decanting. This patented design, exclusive to Kova International, Inc.

KOVA-Trol™ is a human urine-based control for physical, chemical and microscopic examination of urine. Use it as an internal quality control to check the performance of test strips and microscopic analysis.

• Human urine-based, freeze dried vials controls are stable for up to 27 months when refrigerated. After reconstitution, controls are stable for seven days at 2-8°C temperature. Day of reconstitution aliquots can be stable up to thirty days at ≤ -20°C.

• Three levels:

High Abnormal (with and without urobilinogen values) Low Abnormal (with microalbumin and creatinine) Normal (with hCG)

• Value assignment for all major systems – include individual visual readings, instrument strip readings, microscopic analysis and confirmatory tests.

KOVA® Liqua-Trol™ is a ready-to-use bi-level liquid control for use with all major brands of urine chemistry dipsticks. Liqua-Trol™ is stable at room temperature for 30 days and for the full labeled dating when stored in a refrigerator.

KOVA-Trol™ tri-level, lyophilized urine dipstick chemistry controls that are value-assigned for visual and instrument-aided testing of all major brands of urine chemistry strips. Extensive value assignments in the high abnormal, low abnormal, and normal ranges increase confidence in patient results. Controls are stable for up to 27 months when refrigerated.
