Shelley has gone against the grain most of her career, starting in 2000 when she left the corporate world to pioneer online research. Shelley created OTX (Online Testing Exchange), which in just nine years became one of the largest and fastest growing research companies in the world. She sold OTX to Ipsos in 2010, where she led global innovation in over 80 countries.

As the first female chief executive ranked in the research industry’s top 25, she changed the game, brought emotion and passion to the boardroom and has devoted herself to becoming a mentor and

friend to women and leaders in her industry. Her most recent endeavors include launching The Female Quotient and The Girls’ Lounge, which supports and mentors women to help them stand out with their unique leadership powers and transform corporate culture…. together.

Shelley continues to go against the grain to innovate and stimulate the industry. She is a board member of AWNY, Dress for Success,I Am That Girl and the Women’s Military Symposium. Shelley has been awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, Girls Inc. award, ARF Great Minds in Innovation award and AWNY’s Game Changer award. A pioneer, a wife and a mother of three, she successfully juggles between CEO and Mom.

Today, The Girls' Lounge has become a sanctuary for women—C-suiters and up-and-comers alike—at many of the industry's largest conferences.

The purpose of The Girls’ Lounge is to “forge connections, spark conversations and create lasting impact through a network of empowered and inspired women.

I don’t want a seat at the table because I’m a woman, I want a seat at the table because I’m the best.

By unpacking the wage gap we understand that our value as women is not being rewarded with market value. It's time for that to change.

5 Lessons We Learned from Supermodel Iman at The Girls' Lounge Dinner. More than 700 women gathered at The Girls’ Lounge dinner in New York City for the purpose of remembering that #ConfidenceIsBeautiful.

Girls can rock! Girls can rule! Girls can do anything and everything! That is the message that beauty mega-brand CoverGirl is charging forward with once again—a belief to believe in and betting it all on girls doing what they can do.

The Girls' Lounge has become a fixture at events where major marketers, media companies and agencies gather, and a safe-haven for women from C-suite veterans to junior staffers.

The Girls’ Lounge hosted an exhibit to create a way to personalize prosthetics, particularly for woman. “We created a whole concept around prosthetics that are beautiful.” says Shelley Zalis.

March is Womens’ history month and one group molding future female pioneers in male dominated industries is The Girls’ Lounge.  It has become the Go-To destination at industry conferences.

Megan Smith, CTO of the USA, in support of the International Day of the Girl on October 11th 2015.

The Girls’ Lounge opened its doors for the first time in Davos, Switzerland for the 2016 World Economic Forum.

With WEF’s attendance being 82% male, The Girls’ Lounge quickly became filled with the 18% and those

that recognize this imbalance and the need to change it.
