Game to End Hunger

THE PLAN

• Make a game that is fun, addictive and teaches people about hunger so that they want to play the game and help end hunger.

• Profit from game sales will be donated to help feed hungry people.

• Make a very popular game so there will be many sponsors.

EDUCATION

How to teach hunger to players through the game:

• A good way to teach players about hunger is by letting them experience that themselves (in the game).

• The game must be very realistic.

Objective Players

Try to make a settlement in a barren area and make that settlement a sustainable, with enough healthy food and clean water.

Go into poorer areas and help improve the quality of life there.

Travel with 3 friends and try to produce food and water as more people come to your area to live.

Trade goods with other players online (food, money).

IDEAS

Controls

• Computer-based

• Use the mouse to move the players

• Only 1 main character and 3 friends are controllable

• Cannot fully control the other characters

The Game

• People start out with very low skills and knowledge in everything (A skilled worker might get 50 tons of food a day, while a new farmer might get only 1).

• Players do a lot of work to gain skills

• Teaching through the game also increases skills
