This handbook has been created to help you understand what the G12 Vision is all about. It is a practical guide, filled with Scripture references for you to read & re-fer to, meditate on, and then live out in your pursuit of discipleship and life as a follower of Jesus Christ. The material in this handbook is not just

to be read and put away! It should be prayerfully studied and applied. It is an excellent guide that can be used during fellowship times and informal conversations—ask your Life group leader or Net leader if you have any questions about the content of the handbook, and share your experience with your leader as you begin to catch and implement the Vision in your own life. The beautiful thing about the G12 Vision is that it brings in a new ‘language’ into the Church—a language that everyone who enters the Vision can speak and understand. It is a language of faith, hope and love that inspires dreams, enlarges our own personal goals and devel-ops unity in our Family. May you use this handbook as an aid that starts you on a whole NEW journey of victorious discipleship and fulfilling, godly relationships. As members of NLCC, let us make it our priority to SHARE LIFE IN JESUS and ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD in this year of ACTION!

Be a Good Sibling

Being a good brother or sister is part of your training to grow �‹�•���ˆ�ƒ�•�‹�Ž�›���Ž�‹�ˆ�‡���ƒ�•����‘�†�ï�•���…�Š�‹�Ž�†�”�‡�•�ä

1. Being a sibling teaches selflessness & how you are to relate in a family setting. Phil. 2:1-4, Eph. 2:19

2. Remember that your family includes your brothers and sisters in your Net or in your Life group.

3. Siblings are not to compete against one another, but complement & celebrate each other. 1 Cor. 1:11-18, 31; 2:2; 3:3-9.

4. Effective disciple makers are those that have learnt to love & af-firm our fellow siblings. 1 Jn. 2:10, 4:7-21.

5. Seek to build strong relationships with your brothers/sisters (your parent’s 12). Love & edify them, they are your fellow workers & soldiers. Php. 2:25.

6. Support one another, pray for & pray with siblings regularly & build one another up in God’s teachings 2 Thess. 1:11,12, Jas. 5:16.

7. Be open for them to speak into your life & ask God to use you to speak into their lives as well. Gal. 6:1

8. Be transparent & honest with one another as you learn to love one another as true children of God.

9. Be committed to one another & devote yourself to God’s vision of family & unity in the Kingdom of God.

10. Heb. 10:23-25. Meet up with one another to build trust & relation-ships with Kingdom principles.

11. Be accountable & teachable as a sibling & so learn to develop hu-mility & strength of character.

Be a Good Spouse

Being a good spouse/partner is essential for ‘fruitfulness’.

Being a good spouse/partner teaches humility, effective communica-tion, respect & grace, forming godly character; all essential in raising healthy, holy, future fathers/mothers.

. Develop intimacy & purity of relationship with Christ & your spouse.

Ps. 133:1-3.

. Learn to honour one another & let the love of God rule in your rela-

tionship. 1 Pe. 3:8-12.

. Learn to be quick to forgive the mistakes of another, particularly

those close to you. This is vital in order to become a person that Christ can mould. It teaches humility & builds up a defense against the devil, who uses grudges & unforgiveness to bring a wedge in re-lationships. Eph. 4:26,27, Mt. 6:14,15, Mt. 18:21, 22, Mk. 11:25,26,

. Work in ministry together with the Holy Spirit & your spouse. 2 Cor. 6:3-10, 14, Amos 3:3.

. Spend time in communion & prayer with one another.

Remember a couple that prays together stays together!

Be a Good Grandparent Don’t raise children—raise fathers & mothers.

. Discipline them – love, not pamper them; bring the Word of God to

them, not pandering to their emotions Prov. 13:24, Heb. 12:6.

. Your duty as a parent never stops. Continue to watch over your

spiritual children, holding them accountable & watching over the discipleship process between them & their children. This will ensure continuity of relationships & fruitfulness. Acts 2:17, 1 Jn. 2:13,14, Tit. 2:2:1-8.

. Being a grandparent teaches you how to maintain & nourish your

spiritual legacy, to be visionary & impart wisdom & godly experience

1. Revelation of the Cross – Gal. 2,20, 6:14. The Cross should

be your focus, your purpose & passion.

2. Discipleship – Mt. 28:19,20, 10:37-39. Bear fruit that re-main, make disciples, not just believers.

3. Family & Fathering – 1 Cor. 4:15-17. Authenticity, honour, loyalty & covenantal relationships.

4. Releasing Women into the Ministry – Gal. 3:28, Ti. 2:3-5.

5. Strengthens the Home – 1 Tim. 3:5.

6. Three Generational Ministry – Ex. 3:15. YAHWEH—the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob.

7. Total Mobilization – 1 Co. 12:12,13. Everyone should be ac-tively involved in the life the church.

8. Multiplication – Gen 1:28. God honours faith. Pour your heart out into your 12 & trust God!

9. Missions – Gen. 12:2,3, Mt. 24:14. Our mission is only com-plete when the nations are saved.

10. Authority & Conquest – Lk. 9:1, Gen. 1:26-28. Our identity, responsibility & destiny: to govern.

1st Generation

The Structure of G12:

NLCC is undergoing a transition period from being a cell church into a G12 cell church. The structure of a G12 cell church finds its strength in its clusters of 12 people, led by a G12 leader. The biblical principles of the Church as God’s family, and spiritual parenting/discipling, are ex-pressed through the structure of the church. Leadership starts from the spiritual parents of the church (the Pastor and the Pastor’s wife) and together, they give spiritual birth to and nurture children of their own. Once chosen and invited into the 12, the principal leadership Nets are formed (���‡�•�ï�•�����‡�–���¬�����‘�•�‡�•�ï�•�����‡�–).

This is the 1st generation of G12 cells.

The Principal 12 are chosen by the Senior Pastors through prayer and revelation from the Holy Spirit. Individuals are invited into the G12 group with a view of lifelong relationships. It is common that this proc-ess take months, and sometimes years as the group is refined and tested by the Holy Spirit.

Each member in the Men & Women’s Nets are nurtured, mentored and parented by their Net Leader. As they follow their leader, they begin the process of walking through the Ladder of Success (Win. Consolidate. Disciple. Send.) Each Net member must catch the G12 Vision of NLCC in order to be a true disciple of their group. They must be won to the Vision and to the relationships within the Net, especially with the Net leader. Their faith in Jesus, as expressed through living out God’s Word & the Vision, must be consolidated. This includes attending the Pre-Encounters, Spiritual Encounters and Post-Encounters held by NLCC with open hearts, ready to meet with Jesus and be transformed in ever-increasing measure for God’s glory. The discipleship process is a life-long commitment between spiritual parent to spiritual child. It is founded in a godly, mentoring relationship of mutual transparency, ac-countability, commitment, submission and love. Learning & being equipped through the School of Leaders I & II is part of the discipleship process, where every member of NLCC can become a leader. The ���‡�•���¬�����‘�•�‡�•�ï�•�����‡�–�•���ˆ�‘�”�•���–�Š�‡���’�ƒ�•�–�‘�”�ƒ�Ž���Ž�‡�ƒ�†�‡�”�•�Š�‹�’���‘�ˆ���������� and each member within the Net has the responsibility to make their own disciples & spiritual children. These spiritual children are chosen (birthed) through prayer and revelation from the Holy Spirit, as well as guidance from their Net leader. This formation of a 2nd generation fol-lows the formation and consolidation of the 1st generation of Net mem-bers. Each Net member’s goal is to birth their own 12 through the Holy Spirit & prayer, compassion & love; while being held accountable and under the blessing and guidance of their spiritual parent (their Net leader). The G12 Vision is a 3-generational Vision and the ‘birth’ of spiri-tual children becomes a continuous legacy for the spiritual parent, grand-parent & great-grandparent, etc. When the Net members form their own G12 group (12 individuals, prayerfully invited to follow a recognized leader and enter into a parent-child, godly relationship), a 2nd genera-tion is born.

The Net members become parents, and the Net leader become grandpar-ents. Spiritual parents are God’s under-shepherds who are stewards of the lives of God’s people – they are not to ‘lord it over others’, but to love them in accordance with biblical teaching, without stifling or claiming ‘ownership’ over them. 1 Pe. 5:1-4. Disciples in the 2nd generation are then taught and brought through the Ladder of Success. When these disciples bear their own children, (forming a 3rd generation), their identity as true disciple makers is established and they become parents. Just as in physical relationships, every child, no matter how old, has a parent. This is true in God’s family as well. Even though the 2nd generation has become parents, they never stop being chil-dren to their own spiritual parents – and so the relationships continue and are strengthened for a life-time. Pray for wisdom & discernment Eph. 1:17,18. Remember that you are important to God and God has a perfect plan for your life. Do not be dis-couraged when outward situations may appear different to what you want – surrender your will to God’s will and seek first to establish HIS Kingdom & HIS righteousness, not your own! Mt. 6:33; Prov. 3:5,6; Rm. 7:4, 8:28.
