Plastic Surgery

• Plastic surgery is sometimes referred to as “ the fountain of youth” it changes the physical appearance that you once had. For example if you don’t like your nose you can change what it looks like, or maybe you don’t like your lips you can change what they look like.

Soon To Be

• This is a sample of what cosmetic surgery will look like in a couple of years

Laser Eye Surgery

• Advancements in surgery have made it so that to get surgery on your eyes, they don’t have to used knifes all they need is a laser to fix your vision. They can also use the laser to change the color of your eyes to what you prefer.

• Inside the laser machines there are various magnifying glasses and other gadgets that make it easier for the surgeon to see what he is doing.

Robots are now surgeons

• Robots in the field of surgery have dramatically changed the procedures for the better. The most significant advantage to Robotic Surgery to the patient is the decrease in pain and scaring. By using cameras and enhanced visual effects, doctors can make the tinniest of incisions.

Surgery Without Doctors

You may not even need surgery to change your slight imperfections. For example below is a picture of a clip that you can simply place on your nose to change the shape of it to what you want it to be.

Pros

• the method of choice has shifted from traditional open surgery to the use of less invasive means. Minimally invasive surgery is surgery done with the aid of a viewing scope and specially designed surgical instruments. The scope allows the surgeon to perform major surgery through several tiny openings without the need for a large incision.

More Pros

• minimally invasive alternatives usually result in less pain, less scarring and a quicker recovery for the patient, as well as reduced health-care costs

Cons

• Complications of cosmetic surgery are rare, but include infection, bleeding, fluid and salt imbalance, and allergic and anesthetic reactions which are sometimes fatal.

• Also today in society young adults are becoming more and more addicted to plastic surgery

More Cons

• Some ethical issues that arise from surgery is that we are all made in gods image so why change ourselves?

Were to find it?

• New technology can now be found in universities and in advanced hospitals

• some cosmetic surgery procedures are performed in doctors' offices and free-standing surgical centers
