or reason or warning and he was on the ground. He snapped asthe anta flew by and then suddenly stopped, chittering and

looking over his shoulder at Roraldi while gesturing tosomething with his wing.

    Looklooklook!

Roraldi snarled, untangling himself from the rest of his body and

stood, gangly body lumbering over to see... Water... Lots andlots of it. His frill came up and he stood tall then, stretching hisneck to try and see to the other side of the ocean. Even with his

keen eyes Roraldi saw no land on the other side. It must go onforever!

Looking down at Vorl he noticed that the thing was quivering

with excitement, still looking out before turning his attention toRoraldi. If they werent bonded to Alice they were bonded to

one another. Vorl chirped, Roraldi screamed and then the tworan off down the hill and into the sand of the beach.

As light as a feather Vorl had no problem running across the

dunes ( dunes here small waves of sand, nothing to the

average human or even a child) while Roraldi tripped andslipped on the unsteady ground.WHOO! PARTAY!

(( If you want others to join in just let me know, Seelie. Alice

    will be along later.

I have with me: Roraldi, Nostarr, Vorl and Zed. I think I'll placethis RP in my timeline before bonding to Kismet. More a note to

myself then anything but if you're curious as to where that is,Seelie, it's in my thread tracker.

as the little thing was, she couldn't help but feel a strong surgeof affection for her "messymouse." Her eyes shifted to rest on

the Kralis that lay contentedly at her side, his eyes half-closedlike a cat basking in the sun. His fur gleamed white-gold, his

eyes little slivers of liquid-amber. The child reached out andstroked his fur, and he let out a contented sigh.

Asha wasn't far away, either - Seelie could feel the Atara'spresence like a little blip on her Shiny-Radar. The Queen washaving a joyful time diving towards the water and then up into

the air again just before the waves broke over her fragile body. Her hide glistened with little drops of water, the light reflecting

blue and pale-orange in the sun.

    Mmm, yes. Life was good.

Neither the anta nor the agony noticed Seelie and her gang. Both were too busy playing with the other to notice until the

anta did notice, or at least noticed a shafa.

Oh! Those were fun! They exploded into confetti! Withsomething akin to a war cry the anta flew forward, pouncing on

    the shafa.Asplosionplease?!

Roraldi, still trying to catch anta he was getting really close

when Vorl was suddenly moving right. Roraldi flailed about forpurchase as he redirected himself, rolling once as he did before

standing up and taking off after the anta who was stopped? Ahha, oh hed have you now you little- Oh hello what was this?

The was a shafa here, all brown and shafa-esque. The eternalsmile on Roraldis lips, teeth in an eternal grin only a few inches

away from the exploding thing. He sniffed at the creaturecuriously before hissing at the creature. All in good fun, of

    course...

Alice came over the final hill and stood stock still as she drankin this new and wondrous view. Sand? Check. Water? Check,

check, check, check. As far as she could see was water, everywhere.

Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink... Alice saidto herself, remembering this from... somewhere. Where had she

heard that? The sintar on her shoulder twittered softly, mirroring his

bondeds awe at the ocean. It was something else; a sight worthseeing. Zed whistled happily, twittering out a Octopuses

Garden for the group, trying to get some attention back onhim. The other lord faedragon in the group had made him

nervous and fidgety; did Alice still love his songs? He wasntbeing replaced because he wasnt new and shiny, right?

(( Poor Zed. xD; Poor Orkin. xD;; ))

    [ Aww. Zed's so cute. xP ]

Unfortunately for the little Anta (and the Wyvern), Orkin did notexplode into anything as pretty and fun to look at as confetti.Oh no, what he exploded into was viscous, green, and sticky.

But it only served them right for sneaking up on him like that.D:

The Jelly was minding his own business, digging playfully aftersand-fleas and crabs that he didn't notice the other creaturesuntil they were nearly on top of him. As the Anta pounced, theJelly let out a startled yip and leaped backwards, his ears flatagainst his head and eyes wide with fright. He might haverecovered, rather than exploding - after all, the faedragon wasso small. But then came Roraldi in all of h is garish glory.omgagiantsnakedragonthingisattackinghim. D: D: The Jellyfroze, not even breathing when the Agony leaned down to sniffhim. Then the thing hissed, and all bets were off.

    SPLAT.

As the green goo splattered in all directions (and all over thetwo Shinies), Seelie came leaping down from the dune, hersnakeblade in her hand, her eyes gone fl inty with anger.

"Shoo, nasty Green-Snake-Flier! Orkin-mouse is not foreating!" The wooden blade cut through the air inches from thewyvern's face (though from behind it might look l ike she'dactually cut him). Meanwhile, Orkin had reappeared, peekingout from behind Seelie's legs with a rather smug expression onhis face.

Sensing the distress of her fellow Shiny, Asha flew swiftly over, trumpeting angrily at the wyvern all the way. When she spottedVorl, she descended upon the Anta with furious chittering, projecting wave after wave of shame-on-you emotion at him.How dare he attack one of Seelie's bonded! Look how heshamed his fellow faedragons, acting that way! The Queenstopped in midair a few feet away from the Anta, turning thechastising emotions on Roraldi, as well.

Halis, in the meantime, observed from the top of the dune, earsperked forward, the expression on his face mildly amused. Hewould step in if the situation became too hostile, but for themoment he simply watched, content to see if the situationwould resolve itself.

Roraldi shrank away from the green goo as it flew towards himbut no speed on Isnit could keep him from getting a face full ofgoo. His anta buddy fared no better, a sort of bird-like squawkcoming from his open mouth, the goos velocity enough to tip

the anta over, goo becoming covered in dirt.AWH! That wasnt confetti!

Vorl started cleaning his face, chittering his irritation at having

this weird goo all over his face. Roraldi snickered as he turnedhis head towards Vorl... And almost poked his eye out on a little

    girls stick?

Long, think neck pulled away from the sudden attack, thewyvern hissing at her and looking angry. Oh, bring it littlebipedal-girl!

    As far as terrible timing went, this was a pretty decent one;

perfectly missing the horrible joke Roraldi had played on theshafa. No she arrived in time to see a little girl ATTACKING her

bonded, who then hissed in defense.Alice wasnt sure what to feel but anger was at the forefront

when she yelled, HEY!She almost shouted Dont play with sticks, youll poke

somebodys eye out! but voted against it just because shereally wasnt keen on sounding like a mom. Zed raised his frills,

stiffening at Alice barely covered anger, his whip like tail

twitching back and forth, thumping against Alices shoulder.

Roraldi turned his head away from the younger girl, rubbing at

his face because of the goo, looking to his bonded. Alicethought he might be hurt and she made this blatantly obvious,

anger in her voice:Did you hurt him?

Vorl, mean-while, was being chastised by a queen, THE queen.

The little anta sat on the ground, head lowered as he lookedaround doing his best not to look the queen in the eye. When

Asha turned on Roraldi, not a faedragon and generally caringlittle for others emotions, he just snorted at her, directing the

air at her to displace her. Thatll teach her.

The sintar, kallo and anta all turned from Asha to Roraldi, allthree shocked for a moment.

Whether or not the queen had been bullied around by the

agonys rude and purposeful exhale Zed took off, flying quicklytowards the pretty little queen.

How could he help? Was the queen safe?Nostarr bristled but kept close to his bonded, trying to take in

the situation while studying the shifting, complex emotions ofher bonded. She was angry but confused, too.

Vorl was screaming up at Roraldi who had all but lost interest in

all the silly little faedragons. Now that that stick wasnt in hisface and hed gotten over the initial shock of getting nasty

green goo all over himself he lowered his head and stretched ittowards Orkin, curiosity grabbing him.

The wyvern, being a wyvern, felt little need to fear a little girl.Alice wasnt scary either, but she was his bonded. This little

thing, well, he could deal with her if she started poking him withher stick again>

Comere little mouse-thing, he wants to see you explode a few

    more times.

Roraldi didnt hiss or bite, just scooted closer. See, he wasntbeing threatening so why was this kid trying to cut up her

    wyvern, huh?

The Atara backed off of Vorl as soon as he displayed theappropriate amount of humility, giving a little sniff-like chirpand returning her attention to Roraldi. She did this just in timeto have a rather hot, foul-smelling puff of air blasted all overher body -- and, still being little more than a faeling, it sent hertumbl ing head over hee ls through the a ir. But , being aFaedragon, and Queen to boot, did come with certain assets. She regained control of her body halfway through the air, andmanaged to turn the rather undignified tumbling into a gracefulloop-the-loop. She ended up hovering just above Seelie'sshoulder, her fril ls fully extended and vibrating in all of theirb lue-cream-and-peach g lory. Then, with an a ir o f greatsuperiority, she pointedly turned her face away from Roraldi,

blinking her big oval eyes with exaggerated slowness, as if tosay, Such pettiness is below me.

It was then that Zed was hovering around her, the concerncoming off of him in waves and managing to turn the Queen'sattention to him. She relaxed her fril ls and ti lted her head, chirping at the Kallo reassuringly. It was then that the seethinganger all but leeching off of Nostarr and Alice broke through theQueen's awareness, and with an alarmed chirp she took offtowards them, halting to hover a few feet away. The emotionsthat came from her now were both soothing and questioning. There, there. Please don't be angry. Tell me what's wrong, I canfix it!

Seelie, in the meantime, paid little attention to Alice. As far asshe saw it, the wyvern was the threat here, not a twelve year-old girl who had no idea what was going on. With narrowed eyesSeelie watched Roraldi, keeping her body firmly in front ofOrkin. When the wyvern shifted closer, stretching his head downtowards Orkin, Seelie felt another flare of protective anger. Witha rather unhuman-like hiss, the girl lashed out with her hand, attempting to slap the Agony smartly right on the end of hisnose, pulling her hand back towards her body as soon as theaction was through, wary of those sharp teeth (but stil l brashenough to brave them). Orkin remained where he was, peekingaround Seelie's leg, eyes wide.

"Get back, naughty Snake-Thing! It isn't nice to terrorizelittle Orkin-mouses!" She wasn't as afraid for her Shafa asshe had been earlier -- Roraldi's behavior, while alarming, wasnot aggressive or malicious. If there was one thing Seelie couldrelate to, it was animals. For one, Roraldi was not making anyobvious attempts to harm Orkin - he was acting more like a dogsniffing at a porcupine, trying to figure out what the strangething was. And there was no famished gleam to his eyes, only acertain deviance (at least, that was how she interpreted it).

Halis, in the meantime, walked slowly down the side of thedune, his l itt le head held high and proud, gaze taking in asmuch of the scene before him that he could manage. Mainly, hewas looking for signs of true fury, signs that the situation might

grow violent. So far it seemed to be under control. While he wascontent to sit back and allow Seelie and Alice to work this outon their own, he was not about to let his Bonded be harmed

    (( It's alright. xD; I'm sort of trying to figure it all out, too. xD;

    ))

Zed landed off to the side, closer to Halis, chirping hisconfusion. He rubbed at his face, cleaning it as he thought, which was rather difficult for the little fae. What to do? Thequeen was fine and everyone elsewas... Well it was a little toomuch for him!

The wyvern didnt seem to care much about the queen. She wasa queen and he could sense that, but she was also a faedragonand easily smashed if she got annoying, so he just ignored her.Roraldi wrinkled his nose after he was hit, subsequently barringhis teeth. What was that? Shed smacked his nose? One wingreached up towards his snout, curiously touching his nose. Oh,

was she trying to... hurt him?At this realization (which was, in fact, somewhat false) Roralditurned his attention to her, hissing angrily. Alright pip squeak, that better not be your best because you are SO DEAD!

Alice felt conflicted, unsure what had happened and there was afaedragon here, in her face. She didnt know that Asha was aqueen so she carefully waved a hand at her, yelling over her.Alice loved faedragons but...Roraldi! BACK OFF!

The wyverns head whipped around, oop he shouldnt havehissed. He backed off a step or two, sitting down before letting

off another warning hiss at the girl. Try and hurt him, huh? Yah,try it again little thing.

Alice looked between the queen fa now that Roraldi was ...behaving. She seemed... concerned from the emotions rollingoff of her and Alice felt confused. Nostarr shivered at theconflicting emotions, looking towards the queen and politelydipping his head to her and her concern.I just... Why did you hit Roraldi? Hes not going to actually hurtanyone... Or he hasnt yet... Hes just stupid and curious.

Another snort from Roraldi, this time it was indignation. Hewasnt stupid, he just wanted to know more about the gooeymouse thing.

Vorl was also interested. The little anta had to look over hisshoulder a few times before he dared to sneak forward, heading

Seelie had reacted to Roraldi the way she'd react to an overly-

bold dog that wasn't getting the hint: the cuff to the end of hisnose hadn't been meant to hurt h im, so much as get h is

attention, and let him know that she meant business. Perhaps itwasn't the best way to deal with a wyvern, but Seelie wasn't at

all familiar with the creatures. She did assume that they lived

by the same laws that all wild creatures abided by - dominanceand submission, eat or be eaten, etc. etc.

    Roraldi! BACK OFF!

The Queen backpedaled in the air swiftly, giving her head ashake as Al ice's voice al l but shook her entire body. With a

chastising chirp, she turned and flew back to Seelie's shoulder, the irritation and exasperation she felt coming off of her in

waves. The girl l ifted her hand to stroke the ruffled faedragonsoothingly, f ina ll y turning her at ten tion to Al ice .

"He is like pups in the tribe - bold and insolent. I gave

verbal warning, he did not listen. So I get his attention ina different way." She frowned at Alice, somewhat confused as

to why the girl was making such a big deal of things. "It didn'thurt him - just like it doesn't hurt pups. But he backed

off." she gestured to him pointedly. He may not have backedaway, but he did stop trying to approach Orkin, because he was

too busy trying to figure out why she'd cuffed him to go afterthe Jelly.

Asha, in the meantime, finally turned her soothing skills on the

frightened little Shafa, sending comforting projections at him tocalm him down. This was probably the only reason that he didn't

explode again when Vorl started nosing around in his fur. He didjump and then freeze up, eyes wide with terror. Whatisgoingon?

Why were the scary-clawed-things try ing to hurt h im? D:Sensing her Shiny's rekindled distress, Seelie finally bent down

and picked him up, gently brushing a hand in Vorl's direction tolet him know that he needed to back off, though she didn't

    actually try to touch him.

The Kral is' eyes were now dancing with si lent laughter, hismouth sl ightly parted and l ips drawn away from his teeth in

mirth. The affection in h is eyes as he watched Seelie wasunmistakable. He glanced briefly at Zed as the little faedragon

    landed beside him.

You have done wel l by your Queen, l it tle one, Halis said, projecting his mind-voice perfectly loud enough for Alice and

Seelie to hear. He did his best to let only the most reassuringemotions to emanate from him. You should be proud, young

Kallo. Your first concern was her safety, even in the face of your

Bonded's distress. This day, you have acted as a true Lordshould act. He offered the faedragon a smile, knowing that the

creature would not understand his words so much as thesentiment behind them. At this, the Kralis kit rose to his paws

and trotted to his Bonded's side, acting rather l ike a Lordhimself, despite his young age.

I think, my protective friend, that you should apologize to thisyoung girl and her wyvern. It was not your place to rebuke him.He blinked up at Seelie, who opened her mouth as though to

protest, then shut it, looking properly chastised. Halis thenturned his attention to Alice, wrapping his fluffy tail around his

haunches, his voice kind but firm when he spoke to her. Anapology would be appropriate from you as well, my young

friend. You are right to come to the defense of your Bonded, butyou are not right to jump to conclusions.

The Kralis spoke with such confidence and authority that it was

hard to deny his words. At least for Seelie. She returned herattention to Al ice, seeking to meet the other girl 's gaze.

"He is right. It was not my place." It was as close to anapology as Al ice would get. It wasn't that Seelie was beingstubborn -- it was simply not among Y'psi custom to apologize.

The action was done, and it could not be taken back. So, all shecould really do was acknowledge that she'd been partially in the

    wrong.

Shed seen her earlier brandishing some sort of stick, which wasanimal cruelty where she came from. Roraldi got up ascommanded, awkwardly waddling towards Alice, stumpy tailmoving back and forth to keep his balance on the unstable sand. She roughly grabbed his face looking him over, barely avoidinggetting her fingers bitten off (with love). As far as she knewshed cut Roraldis face but, looking it over, his face was fine, unmarked by the girls attack.Youre a drama queen, She growled, Roraldi clacking his teethand sending Alice little images of hearts.Ugh, She shoved his face away, the agony seemingly pleasedwith this treatment as he started snuffling around her fortreats.

want to get in more trouble with the queen so he quickly ranoff, across the sand, his ADD attention bringing him towards the

kralis kit. Oh oh! It was making sounds! And hey there was Zed!

The little anta jumped at Zed who was currently BASKING in the

tzinganes praise, so much so that he didnt notice the anta until

he was virtually on top of him. With a surprised squawk he wentdown, kicking and hissing. Oh get off! This is serious!Vorl did as he was told through the faedragons emotions,

sitting down next to Zed, vibrating with the energy that neededto be expended. Wow.

Zed meanwhile was trying to keep his attention on the kralistzingane who was speaking, Vorl trying very hard to copy. His

attention flittered around from one thing to another, though sohe didnt even notice when Halis left, but he did notice when

Zed got up and followed, chasing after while trying to to tacklehim to the ground.

Zed was having non of it, swatting the anta away as he ran,

since he was still relatively smaller compared to a tzingane kit.

The way the smaller kit held himself, it was rather impressive soAlice figured that he must be a lord tzingane. She didnt notice

the use of I in his speech; only listening to what he said, considering it.

The younger girl then apologized and Alice looked to her as shedid. She didnt say sorry out right.

Alice didnt like that and more out of spite she didnt say sorryout right.

No I shouldnt have jumped to conclusions.

Okay so she didnt sound pleased, being a bit stubborn, but shehad to admit it was true and after saying it out loud she

couldnt stay so defensive, uncrossing her arms and letting outa sigh, Im sorry.

The mood seemed to lighten a bit and everyone seemed alright,

especially the queen so Zed whistled loud and long beforebreaking into Why Cant We Be Friends?.

Vorl, deciding Zed was going to be acting all lordy for the

moment pounced on Halis tail, his intent to have a bit of funwhile Roraldi sat next to Alice, looking bored.

Awh cant we go in the water and play?
