Daleview is a regional LD forensic service provision for Fife, Lothian, Forth Valley and Borders catchment area. An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen at Lynebank Hospital for a Senior Registered nurse who is keen to be a Professional Role Model, enhance and develop their senior management skills and leadership qualities as the Senior Charge Nurse within Daleview Low Secure Regional Unit.

It is essential that you are a visible leader of the unit whilst carrying out clinical supervision, leadership and management duties. The Senior Charge Nurse needs to be clinically experienced but also have the knowledge and ability to manage clinical issues and staff governance on a daily basis. You should have a commitment to patient centred care and support of people with learning disabilities and forensic needs. As the Senior Charge Nurse you must have the ability to support the operational demands of the unit and that of the hospital, monitor and respond to clinical governance issues and have excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and develop staff.

You will be expected to support the Clinical Service Manager / Lead Nurse / Head of Nursing to deliver safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the National Health and Wellbeing Objectives. You must have relevant post registration experience within an LD forensic care setting.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for innovative individuals to work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within the Emergency Care Directorate. We have two positions available in Dermatology.

The ANP will play an integral role in the management and delivery of patient care within the Emergency Care Directorate. We are looking for experienced ANP’s who, acting within their professional boundaries will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care. They will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care for patients.

The ANP will also have a responsibility to teach, supervise, assess and mentor, and to plan, prioritise and delegate work to other staff members. In addition to the traditional ANP roles and responsibilities, there will be an added teaching component and a direct link with the Medical Education Team.

These posts are full time, 37.5 hours per week, predominantly worked over a five day week, Monday to Friday in both Victoria Hospital and Queen Margaret Hospital.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners who already possess the non-medical prescribing and clinical assessment skills qualifications. We will however consider staff with suitable experience of working within this area of practice who have a desire to develop and become a Nurse Practitioner through completion of the above qualifications. ICASS (Integrated Community Assessment & Support Service) which includes Intermediate Care Teams and Hospital at Home, has the overall aim of improving the quality of care and outcomes for older people with the intention of allowing them to remain independent within their own homes or communities and supporting them to maintain a good quality of life.

Nurse Practitioners work effectively as senior members of the Hospital at Home Team ensuring the delivery of high quality, clinically effective care, utilising clinical skills and knowledge.

We are seeking an individual to join the established Hospital at Home service at Whytemans Brae Hospital.You will be required to deliver a high standard of safe and effective acute medical patient care within patient’s homes and must have the ability to work autonomously in this evolving service.

You should ideally have a clinical decision making qualification at degree level or above. This should include the ability to work autonomously as a Nurse Practitioner as well as having clinical skills including venepuncture, ECG, IV additives and cannulation. A non-medical prescribing qualification would be desirable but not essential; however, it would be a requirement to undertake this in the future.

In line with the national arrangements for pay and banding of trainees, this post is open to suitable individuals who can demonstrate an ability to develop in to the role of Nurse Practitioner following the successful completion of a structured academic and in-house training programme.

Individuals who meet the full requirements for Nurse Practitioner will commence on Band 6. Those applicants who are interested in developing in to the role following the successful completion of academic qualifications will commence on Band 5 in line with Annex 21(pay and banding of trainees). On successful completion of this programme you will be transferred to Band 6.

Trainees are paid a percentage of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate which is dependent on the duration of the training period (see terms and conditions in job pack).

You require excellent communication skills and have a flexible attitude to work. The ability to travel within the area in a timely manner is essential.This post involves flexibility to work over a 7 day period, working shifts covering the period from 08.00 – 22.00 hours and involves cross team working within other H@H teams.

The FRDU operates within biopsychosocial model of care and a personal outcomes approach has been adopted by both the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Services. You will mainly see patients at Whyteman’s Brae Hospital, Kirkcaldy and Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. The rheumatology team consists of doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, occupational therapy support worker, pharmacist, physiotherapists, physiotherapy support worker, podiatrists and a psychologist. Physiotherapy patients are seen predominately on an out- patient basis on a one to one basis. You will also have an opportunity to participate in joint appointment with other professions and group work (hydrotherapy and exercise classes) as appropriate. Ability to travel throughout Fife is essential.

You will contribute to service development, be expected to use outcome measures to evaluate practice and be involved in service training, audit and research programme as well as undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

You will participate in ongoing audit and evaluation of the service. The appointee will join seven Consultant Dermatologists (5 Whole time equivalent). We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to contribute to provision of the Dermatology service. Skin Cancer and Dermatological Surgery are established within two dedicated treatment centres with phototherapy facilities staffed by Dermatology Nurses at each site. Established specialist clinics include Paediatric Atopic Dermatitis, Contact Dermatitis, Hair and Nail disorders, Psoriasis, Transplant Surveillance and Genital Dermatoses, Additional Nurse led services include Skin Surgery, Isotretinoin and Biologic monitoring, Iontophoresis, Cryotherapy and Chronic Skin Disease Management clinics.

The department is supported by 5 speciality Doctor sessions a Specialist Registrar from the Edinburgh rotation and a rotating GP trainee. Close working relationships exist with Maxillofacial Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Monthly meetings are held with the local Histopathologists. The department has strong links with the Academic Department of Dermatology in Edinburgh and the Research and Development Department in NHS Fife.

You will be working with a highly motivated and enthusiastic group of GPs. We benefit from being a large Practice with a team of 9 GP Partners and 2 Salaried GPs. We employ an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Chronic Disease Nurses, a Practice Pharmacist, a Mental Health Counsellor and Health Care Support Workers to help with some of the work traditionally done by GPs. We have additional Health Board Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technician who deal with discharges and acute prescriptions. In the near future, we will have additional resources such as MSK Physiotherapy, Mental Health Triage Nurse and Advanced Nurse Practitioner. The Practice has an excellent administrative set-up and is highly organised and efficient.

We operate from two modern purpose-built premises in Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay and run a Consulting Room facility one day per week in Aberdour. There is easy parking in the area when out and about on house calls.

Our main Surgery, Inverkeithing, is situated just across the Queensferry Crossing and is approximately 25 minutes’ commute from central Edinburgh and within easy reach of Perth/Stirling.

Historically, we have achieved consistently high QOF points, the RCGP Quality Practice Award and have worked through Productive General Practice to ensure the Practice runs as efficiently as possible.

We are currently involved in Document Optimisation to reduce GP workflows.

GP Partnership Vacancy6-7 sessions per week

Due to recent retirement of a colleague we are looking to recruit a 6/7 session partner to complement our team of three existing general practitioners. We would envisage a start date of 1st December 2019 although are happy to be flexible for the right candidate. We are a semi-rural practice with a list size of around 4000 patients and are situated in Stanley, a village on the banks of the River Tay set in a beautiful part of Scotland but only a fifteen minute drive from Perth. We work in bright and spacious purpose built premises (no buy-in required) with attached community nursing and health visiting teams as well as other visiting healthcare professionals.
