From the Pastor:
My dear friends in Christ,
Today’s Gospel is a very well-known verse. Preachers and teachers like to quote this verse. And we like to hear it because it gives so much comfort to our souls as we live in a world that doesn’t give us much rest. How do we come to that rest? What are the conditions? Jesus makes this promise: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” No one can find rest in Christ for his soul if he doesn’t meet the conditions that Jesus speaks about. This passage speaks to three conditions and they can be summarized in these three words: to come, to take, and to learn. Come to Me, take My yoke, and learn of Me. All these words lead to the person of Christ. If we want to find the rest unto our soul, if we want to find the sweetness of fellowship with God, that’s what we have to do. To come, to take and to learn. This leads us to discipleship. It is to the true disciple of Christ to whom this promise is being made. Christian living is not just about attending Church every Sunday or having your devotion every morning. All this is certainly good, but it is much more than that. Jesus invites us into discipleship so that we can experience the fullness of that rest in Christ—to come, to take and to learn.
Confirmation will be held on Thursday, July 9th in the Church. We congratulate the Confirmandi and thank Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Kelly and Mr. and Mrs. Vahey for preparing this class.
May God bless you all,
Father John
AN ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
MASS RESERVATIONS / SANCTUARY LAMP
Although our Parish Office is closed, due to state and diocesan guidelines on social distancing, you may always make reservations for a Mass or for the Sanctuary Lamp (there are many available for both) by calling the Rectory Office at 609.877.5322.

JUNE, JULY & AUGUST SUNDAY MASS INTENTIONS If you have reserved a Sunday Mass at 7:30 AM or 11:00 AM, please know that, during these Summer months, those intentions will be offered at the 9:00 AM Mass. Although this is not a practice here at Corpus Christi, it is permissible to offer a Mass for more than one intention. As we near September, we will re-visit the Mass times. We thank you for your understanding during these uncertain times.
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION We are very happy to announce that the Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated by Father John on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 6:00 PM in Church.
