What is STATE 104?

• STATE 104 appears on the LCD of a FRONIUS IG inverter when the grid frequency goes out of limits. • For FRONIUS inverters, operating frequency range is 59.3–60.5 Hz.• The inverter is internally disconnected from the AC grid but still continues to

monitor the grid frequency.

• The inverter reconnects when the grid frequency is within the allowable tolerance levels.

• STATE 104 also appears when there is no AC voltage at the inverterterminals (zero frequency).

TroubleshootingFollow steps below to troubleshoot STATE 104:1. Check if the AC disconnect on the inverter, external AC disconnect and the circuit breaker in the main panel are turned ON.

2. If all disconnects are ON, using a multi-meter, measure the AC voltage on the top terminals of the AC disconnect on the inverter (If possible, also measure the frequency of the AC voltage).

3. If both voltage and frequency are within allowable levels and the inverter continues to show STATE 104, please contact FRONIUS tech support.
