Month of the Holy Name of Jesus
The invocation of the holy name of Jesus is the simplest way of praying always...This pray-er is possible "at all times" because it is not one occupation among others but the only occupation: that of loving God, which ani-mates and transfigures every action in Christ Jesus.
YEAR OF THE EUCHARIST. Cardinal Seán O’Malley has announced a
Year of the Eucharist (YOTE) for the Archdi-ocese of Boston, to be held from
Holy Thursday, April 9, 2020 until Corpus Christi, June 6, 2021.
This might seem like a ways off but
there will be a series of initiatives that will help the parishes undertake this year. In the coming weeks a YOTE coordinator for the Collaborative will be announced.
We will keep you posted.
We cannot claim to maintain stability in the world through the fear of annihilation, in a volatile situa-tion, suspended on the brink of a nuclear abyss and enclosed behind walls of indifference. As a re-sult, social and economic decisions are being made that lead to tragic situations where human be-ings and creation itself are discarded rather than protected and preserved. The brutal consumption of Creation begins where God is not, where matter is henceforth only material for us, where we ourselves are the ultimate demand, where the whole is merely our property and we consume it for ourselves alone. And the wasting of creation begins when we no longer recognize any need superior to our own, but see only our-selves. —Pope Benedict XVI
