The Bible is now in the possession of William Holmes Campbell, the grandson of Homer Campbell & Susan Emma Jones Campbell. It passed from the possession of Susan Emma Jones Campbell to her son Richard Holmes Campbell at her death 16 May 1979. On his death 21 Jun 2002 it passed into the possession of his son William Holmes Campbell of Rowland, NC.

Condition in 2003: The binding and pages are in good condition. It could easily be used on an every day basis. The ink on the Family Records is good and very readable. -- AWFC

Accuracy & dates covered: The names and dates are apparently entered in the same hand with the same ink, except for one of the marriage dates which is in different ink. The listing in the Birth section for Baby Johnson “Dec.” means Baby Johnson, deceased. The baby was Julie Rene Johnson, born 27 May 1961.1 The last entry is the death date of Grace Tigett Campbell on 27 Dec 27 1968, after which time the bible was no longer used for keeping genealogical data, though Emma Campbell lived 10+ years longer.
