With more gas-friendly models than the competition, we’re leading the way toward a gas-free future.
1) Silverado XFE with 5.3L V8 EPA estimated MPG 15 city, 21 highway. Toyota Tundra 2WD with 5.7L V8 EPA estimated MPG 14 city, 18 highway. 2) Based on EPA segmentation and latest available competitive information. 3) E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Visit gm.com/biofuels to find an E85 station near you.
Whether you need a car, truck, crossover or SUV, GM is committed to offering you a fuel-efficient vehicle that suits your life. It’s fuel economy for everyone.
• 19 of our 2009 models have an EPA estimated 30 MPG highway or better — more than Toyota, more than Honda
• GM’s models rank first in EPA estimated highway fuel economy in both the non-hybrid midsize sedan and subcompact segments
- EPA est. 33 MPG highway: Chevy Malibu, Saturn AURA
- EPA est. 37 MPG highway: Chevy Cobalt XFE, Pontiac G5 XFE
• GM’s XFE lineup offers Xtra Fuel Economy on vehicles as diverse as the Chevy Cobalt and GMC Yukon. And Chevy Silverado XFE has better fuel economy than Toyota Tundra1
At GM, we’ve been working tirelessly to expand our hybrid lineup. Today, we offer more hybrid models than any other manufacturer. Honda can’t beat us and neither can Toyota.2
GM is heading the movement to reduce our dependence on petroleum and expand our use of biofuels.
• GM offers 18 E85 FlexFuel models in the U.S. for 2009.3 Our goal is to have 50 percent of our annual vehicle production E85-capable by 2012
• GM is teaming up with innovative companies to create cellulosic ethanol from materials including garbage, agricultural waste and old tires
GM’s fuel cell technology uses nature’s most plentiful resource, hydrogen. It’s a big step toward realizing the dream of a zero-emission vehicle.
• Our current test fleet of 100 Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (not available for sale) has already logged a half-million miles. These vehicles consume zero gasoline and emit only water vapor
Going electric in 2010.
• Not a traditional electric car, the Chevy Volt (target launch: 2010) uses zero gasoline and produces zero emissions for up to 40 miles of daily driving*
• The Volt’s revolutionary propulsion system uses a lithium-ion battery for electric-only driving. A gasoline-powered, range-extending engine drives a generator that recharges the battery when driving beyond the expected 40-mile range of the battery pack
• People who live within 20 miles of where they work may never use a drop of gas on their daily commute if they plug in their vehicle for recharging each night
*Assumes fully charged battery. Actual range may vary depending on driving habits and conditions. Vehicle features and performance capabilities subject to change without notice.

FUEL SOLUTIONS
2011 Chevy Volt
GM is responding to today’s transportation
challenges with advanced engine technologies
that are helping customers save fuel. These
technologies include:
• Variable Valve Timing (VVT)
• Direct injection
• Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation
technology, which automatically lets the engine
run on half of its cylinders when full power is
not needed
• Turbocharging
• Six-speed automatic transmissions
We have incorporated these fuel-saving
technologies into our newest gasoline engines
and across our product portfolio.
• GM’s 3.6L V6 engine with VVT and direct injection
was named to Ward’s AutoWorld’s 2009 “10 Best
Engines” list for North America, marking the
second consecutive year for this recognition. This
engine is often mated with a six-speed automatic
transmission and is found in the Buick Enclave,
Cadillac CTS, Cadillac STS, Chevy Traverse,
GMC Acadia and Saturn OUTLOOK
• GM also offers direct injection on its ECOTEC 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine found in the 2009 Chevy HHR SS, Chevy Cobalt SS, Pontiac Solstice GXP and Saturn SKY Red Line
• For 2010, GM vehicles offering direct-injected engines include the all-new Cadillac SRX crossover, Buick LaCrosse sedan, Chevy Camaro and Chevy Equinox crossover
Thanks to advanced information technologies and feature-rich media systems that are available on GM vehicles today, passengers may enjoy many conveniences. Available amenities include:
• A wide array of audio systems
• Touch-screen navigation
• Rear-seat entertainment system
• USB connectivity for MP3 storage devices
• Bluetooth® wireless technology for select compatible phones1

The culmination of more than 100 years of iconic design, engineering as art and a love of innovation, the award-winning Cadillac CTS defines what a performance sedan should be.
• An available award-winning3.6L V6 engine with VVT and direct injection that balances performance with fuel economy — 304 horsepower and an EPA estimated 26 MPG highway
• Rising up from the centerstack, the available navigation system boasts an 8" diagonal screen. The system responds to voice commands as well as touch, and conducts its route calculations 30 percent faster than previous navigation systems
BEFORE
GM’s safety focus begins with systems that can help drivers avoid crashes, enhance driving convenience and assist driving safety. Standard and available equipment varies by model and may include:
• StabiliTrak: GM’s Electronic Stability Control System
Available on nearly all GM ’09 MY retail vehicles — cars, trucks, crossovers and SUVs1
Helps the driver control a vehicle in low traction conditions like ice and snow
Integrates electronic suspension, antilock brake system (ABS) and traction control
• Side blind-zone alert
• Lane departure warning
• Adaptive cruise control with Forward Collision Alert
• Head-Up Display
DURING
GM vehicles are designed to help protect the driver and passengers if a crash happens. Standard and available safety enhancements vary by model and may include:
• Energy absorbing structure, commonly referred to as the safety cage and crush zones
• Restraint systems, including passenger-sensing air bag technology2 and dual-depth air bags
Passenger-side frontal air bags use passenger-sensing technology to deploy at different pressures. Dual-depth air bags deploy in different shapes depending on the seat position, safety belt usage and crash severity
Continuous protection before, during and after a collision.
1) Excludes fleet and commercial vehicles. 2) Always use safety belts and the correct restraint for your child’s age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with a Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with a passenger air bag. See the Owner’s Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information. Air bag inflation can cause severe injury or death to anyone too close to the bag when it deploys. Be sure every occupant is properly restrained. 3) ©2009 OnStar. All rights reserved.
