Attention all new parishioners!
You are invited to the Newcomers Welcome
Reception on Saturday, February 11, in the
lower level of the church after the 4:00 p.m.
Vigil Mass.

One of the most visible ways IHM supports the poor is at Christmas time when St.
Vincent DePaul coordinates the Gift Giving Tree. It is an annual effort to get many
IHM families engaged in directly purchasing, wrapping, and delivering gifts to chil-
dren who most likely would not receive any gifts at Christmas.
This year, our parish supported 111 families and purchased 576 gifts! As you can
see, that’s an enormous number of presents.
Thanks to our Vincentians, volunteers from IHM School, and your direct support,
children from IHM Parish, Christ our Hope in Lithonia, SS Peter and Paul in Decatur,
Special Education students at Margaret Harris School, fire victims from the apartment
fire on Plaster Road, and members of our Hispanic Community were blessed with
thoughtful gifts on Christmas.
Plus, the Thanksgiving Dinner project fed 406 persons from 81 families, affording
them a wonderful celebratory meal on that important day. Thank you for making this
year’s Gift Giving Tree and Thanksgiving Dinner projects a big success!
If a parishioner needs help, they can call 678-892-6163.

your questions and accompany you through this widely misunderstood process.
They, together with Monsignor Al and Deacon Bob, invite you to an
