The Eiffel Tower

I strongly believe that the Eiffel Tower is the most striking sight in the whole world! It is located on the Champ de Mars in Paris and it has become both a global icon of France and one of the most

recognizable structures in the world.

It was designed by the French engineer and bridge builder Alexander Gustave Eiffel (1832-1923) for the Paris Exposition of 1889. It has remained since then a remarkable monument.

The tower stands at 324 metres and it is a steel structure. It weighs approximately 10,000 tones ! It was the tallest structure in the world from its completion until 1930, but now it is the second-tallest structure in France.

So l believe that this fantastic building which is visited by thousands of people every year is worth getting the title of one of the seven wonders.
