Public Technology Involvement
• The public may participate in the Megamovie other devices than DSLRs
• We have developed with the help of private donors the Eclipse Megamovie App
• We have been actively designing camera systems using low cost electronics based on the Raspberry Pi micro computer
• All the software and hardware will available to the public soon, so that they can modify and get involve in prototypes for the next total solar eclipse

Megamovie Scientific Objectives
1. Baily’s Beads, lunar topography, solar limbdarkening, and the solar diameter
As proved by observations of the annular eclipse inArgentina, all the devices available for the Megamovie canclearly register Baily’s Beads and therefore the “diamondring” effect (Baily 1836).
We plan to measurement the solar diameter (e.g. Sigismondiet al. 2009) using these data.
Such observations will precisely measure the solar diameter(e.g. IOTA, 2007) and the limb-darkening function (Weartand Faller, 1968; Raponi and Sigismondi 2011), a distinctproperty of the solar limb (e.g. Petro et al. 1985; Kuhn et al.2004; Fivian et al. 2008; Emilio et al. 2015).

2. The behavior of the corona on varyingscales
This general topic embraces several distinct phenomena, all potentially interesting for the Megamovie perspective.
By their nature, the heating activity induces flows as thecorona and the lower atmosphere strive to re-establishhydrostatic equilibrium (e.g., Tomczyk et al., 2007). Theseflows constitute one of the primary objectives of theMegamovie scientific work.
Another objective of the Megamovie project is thedetection, study and characterization of episodic eventssuch as flares and CMEs.
If possible study the possible excitation of resonancebehavior (oscillations) generated by transient phenomenaas flares and CMEs, therefore contributing to the field ofcoronal seismology( Roberts et al., 1984)

Education and Outreach• The Eclipse Megamovie Project team
has been making educational tours incities, and towns along the path oftotality, educating people about thetotal solar eclipse.
• The project already have more than1000 trained scientifically literate and
skilled photographer volunteers, ensuring the quality of the primarydataset.
• The Eclipse Megamovie app is ready tobe used by the public.
• New tools are been developed toengage the public in the analysis of data

Education and Outreach
• The Eclipse Megamovie project hasserver as a platform for REU studentsto be engage in instrumentation designand testing.
• Other part of the solar scientificcommunity (Sunpy community) areready to contribute to the analysis ofthe data gathered by the Megamovieproject.
• The Latin-American astronomicalcommunity had expressed their desireto mimic the Eclipse Megamovie effortfor the upcoming 2020 Total SolarEclipse.
