end of the year celebra-
tions and fun activities
for the students!
Thank you for all you do
to make sure your child
has every opportunity to
learn and succeed!
Enjoy the sunny weather
this week!
Mrs. Stephan
Principal
The Night of the Arts is
tonight! Please join us
from 6:00-8:00 p.m. to
enjoy visual and per-
forming arts. Every stu-
dent will have a piece of
art on display and availa-
ble for purchase. The
students have been
working very hard to
prepare for the Night of
the Arts and look for-
ward to showcasing
their creations. There
will also be a book swap
available to our families.
We had a great turnout
for our Volunteer Brunch
last week. It was great to
be able to thank all of our
volunteers for the support
given to our students and
school on a daily basis. We
could not do everything
we do without the help of
our volunteers!
As we enter the last few
weeks of school, we will
continue with our learning
mission. We still have a lot
of curriculum to cover, so
it is important that every
student is here each day.
We will also have some
Thank you to our business partners for supporting TCE!

Town Hall Mee ng
School Board member Bev Slough will hold a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, May 7, 6:30 PM ( t onight!) at Creekside High School. She will share information on changes to our schools next year, zoning process for the two new K-8 schools, and other items pertaining to St. Johns County Schools. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
During May, TCE students will be participating in our Community Partnership Level Logo con-test.
In 2010, our three levels of Community Busi-ness Partners (Bald Eagles, Eagles, and Chicks) were first designed and now need to be updat-ed.
Through your student's regular Art resource time, Mrs. Witkowski will give all students a chance to create a new Community Partner logo. Kindergarten and 1st grade will draw a Chick logo, 2nd and 3rd grade students will draw an Eagle, and 4th and 5th grade students will create the new Bald Eagle logo. The new level logos will appear throughout
the year on Community Partner materials.
The contest winners will be selected by a panel of teachers and staff and will be announced on the Morning News. Chick and Eagle logo win-ners will each receive a $75 gift certificate from Young Rembrandts. Our Bald Eagle logo win-ner will receive a gift certificate for half-off a week of summer camp provided by KidzArt. Many thanks to KidzArt, Young Rembrandts, and Mrs. Witkowski for helping to make this possi-ble.

Lunch Account Balances
Students with a negative balance on their lunch account will be bringing home a reminder over the
next few weeks. All negative balances must be paid by May 15. For your convenience, you may visit
paypams.com to register and manage your child’s lunch account. This is a free tool that will let you
know your child’s outstanding balance.
Please help Mr. Mike balance his books by bringing your child’s account up to date as soon as possi-
ble!
SPMS BASKETBALL CAMP Switzerland Point Middle School will be hosting its Annual Summer Basketball Camp for boys & girls ages 6 – 14. A healthy bite and beau ful smile are achieved for
every pa ent of Dr. Perce, an accomplished, board‐
cer fied orthodon st. Dr. Perce has been serving
our community for 8 years. One does not have to
look far to find a child at TCE who has not directly
benefited from his skill and professionalism. While
most pa ents start orthodon c treatment around age
11 or 12, it might be surprising to learn that 7 is the
op mal age for a screening. Dr. Perce explains this is
when the first adult molars erupt, establishing the
back bite. During this me, an orthodon st can eval‐
uate front‐to‐back and side‐to‐side tooth rela on‐
ships. Benefits to intercep ve treatment include:
crea ng room for crowded, erup ng teeth; crea ng
facial symmetry through influencing jaw growth; re‐
ducing the risk of trauma to protruding front teeth;
preserving space for unerupted teeth; reducing the
need for tooth removal; and reducing treatment me
with braces. Dr. Perce has three offices in the metro
area. The Fruit Cove office is located at 605 SR 13,
North, Suite 104. Call 904‐287‐5557.

Thank you to all parents that offered to proctor for FCAT. Our testing ran smoothly
because of your willingness to help. I was amazed on more than one morning, when a
parent came just to make sure we had enough proctors and helped us fill a last
minute vacancy! A big thank you to the parents that volunteered to help even though
they weren’t sure they would be needed and were told we had enough proctors that
day. Your contribution is greatly appreciated and makes a difference for our students.
Our school is a better place every day parents like you are here to lend a hand!
With gratitude!

Hello Timberlin Creek Families:
Thank you so much for your generosity to South Woods over the year. We are beginning our
final collection for this school year. Once again we will collect much needed toiletry items.
Below are the items Mrs. Hutchins expressed the most need for. Like before we will divide the
items by grade level and gender. In addition, Timberlin’s PTO thought it would be nice to
donate any gently used school supplies that are left over from the year. Every year we see lots
of good supplies go in the trash at the end of the school year. Why not donate them to our
neighbors in need? You have the option to opt out on the next page if you would like your child
to save their individual gently used school supplies.
We will begin collecting next Monday, May 6th until Friday, May 24th. Please place any donated
items in the large, black bins provided in each house. Villas bins are located in Villa 5. Please
refer to the chart below for your grade level item.
Thank you so much for your consideration and your continued giving and caring spirit.
Together, we ARE making a difference!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Carla A. Gonzalez Reynolds
