re you out there with the desire to be an admirable

achiever here on earth, being ready to avenge all

    disobedience including negative thinking?

AFriend, will thou be made whole? Are you not tiredof pushing and patching? After months of living in isolat ion

and famished starvation, four lepers fired themselves

revolutionary questions, Why sit we here until we die?

(2 Kings 7:3).That question eventually saved their lives and

the whole Northern kingdom of Israel from starvation. It

opened their eyes to their potentials. The establishment of

such a positive thinking or biblical thinking is what this

book aims to achieve in the reader.

he Dynamics of Positive Thinkingtakes after the

mind of God when the Lord said, Let there be light, and there was light. Here God demonstrates theTpower of possibility thinking. This is not another motivational book but another Holy

Ghost inspired book. In the book, the author carefully

explored how to dismantle the roadblock of negative

thinking which is anathema to our success in life. Indeed,

the author teaches us how to break the spell of negative

mind of 'I can't do it' or 'I can't achieve it syndrome by

making us to have a strong trust in the Lord and believe in

    ourselves.

The book is written in lucid and simple diction and is

replete with biblical references to give the book the worth

its deserve as creative inspirational and motivational book.

I strongly recommend this book to you, the beloved

and betrothed of Christ who desire to grow into spiritual

maturity; and also all you out there who desire to be

admirable achievers here on earth being ready to avenge all

    disobedience including negative thinking.

    CHAPTERONE

    WHO ARE YOU?

Do you know who you are? As your identity is

important in the physical so it is in the spiritual.

You identify with your parents to know your

family background and heritage. Much more

important is for you to identify with God through

his Son, Jesus Christ. Your ability to identify with

God makes you spiritually able, and spiritually

motivated to realize what you ought to be on earth

    and beyond.

ife is not a funfair but a warfare, where

    possibilities may become impossible, simply

Lbecause of not identifying with Jesus Christ asone's personal saviour. The status of whether a person is born again or not,

determines his ability to identity with his spiritual

potentials, and to discern between good and evil. Take

for instance the experience of Jabez:

And Jabez was honoured more than his9

brothers; but his mother had given him the nameJabez, saying, because I gave birth to him with

sorrow. And Jabez made a prayer to the God of10

    2

Israel, saying, If only you would truly give me

a blessing, and make wider the limits of my land, and

let your hand be with me, and keep me from evil, so

that I may not be troubled by it! And God gave himhis desire. 1 Chronicles 4:9.

Because of the unpalatable experience of hard

labour, Jabez' mother gave him a name that was

undesirable. But by revelation or spiritual discernment,

he came to know that he was much more than that. So,

what prompted Jabez to realize what he should become?

I say it is his ability to connect with God's superior

power which is beyond human comprehension. Beforehis blessings manifested in the physical, his soul had

been ignited and his spiritual understanding was

rekindled. Because of this ability to know his true God-

given ability, he considered more honourable than his

brothers! But before then, he had to call on the living

    God.

Another person who underwent a similar experience

was King Hezekiah; he was able to realize that he wascreated to live longer than Prophet Isaiah had

    prophesied through deep, spiritual insight.

    3

In those days Hezekiah was ill and near

death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son

of Amoz, came to him, and said to him,

The Lord says, put your house in

order; for your death is near.

And Hezekiah, turning his face to the2

wall, made his prayer tothe Lord, saying,

O Lord, keep in mind how I have been3

true to you with all my heart, and have

done what is good in your eyes. And

Hezekiah gave way to bitter weeping.

Then the word of the Lord came to4Isaiah, saying, Go to Hezekiah, and say,5

The Lord, the God of David, your father,

says, Your prayer has come to my ears,

and I have seen your weeping: see, I will

give you fifteen more years of life.Isaiah

    38:1-5

In as much as you need a change in your life, you must

know who you are and the need to improve your

spiritual status first. This begins by knowing who you

    4

are, and then based on God's Word, know who you

ought to be. For nothing can be changed without this.

You have to be born again into Gods family to be able to

call on the Heavenly Father to meet your needs.Hezekiah knew God and was prayerful. Every negative

force responds immeasurably to prayer; the Almighty

God backs up the prayers of his children.

    Challenges that Oppose Spiritual Identity

Challenges like marine demons, marital problems,

joblessness, lack of job fulf ilment, spiritual

manipulation of the devil against families, lack of love

in a family, and disobedience/distrust in all

ramifications confront humanity. John 10 v10.

Spiritual manipulation is real! We experienced it and

knew it, it is everywhere in every home. We were hated,

molested; we had problems with our jobs, and

businesses . In our narrow perception at that time, it was

like everything went down. To even feed ourselves wasa problem.

    Who Are You?

You can be a worker in the church but how do you feel if

your son or daughter builds a house for you? Or when

after you are molested as tenants, you succeed in having

your house. If you are excited to have yours, so does our

Lord feel when you make his kingdom the number one

    agenda of your need.John14v14,15,16:Nuhum1v7,

    Psalm41v1-3.

Importance and Necessity of Spiritual Insight

There exists a spiritual insight that is based on divine

wisdom and knowledge. We tend to neglect the gift of

God because of our ungodly educational background

and negative environmental influences. This tendency

has caused many to be doomed by their spiritual

blindness, coupled with the lack of courage to forgo evil

things. Lack of spiritual insight blurs the benefits we

    ought to receive from God.

To shun the gift of God is like dancing on the path that

leads to death. The gifts of the Almighty help us to

define our identity. Therefore, it is very misleading for

us to consider ungodly education more important than

    the spiritual insight of God.

Dy na mi cs of Po si ti ve Th in king

    5

Then there was this church our neighbour encouraged

us to attend. All they were saying was blaming our

family, friends and work place for our afflictions.

Brothers and sisters, we should be very careful withpeople who present themselves as men or women of

God. You can see the precarious spiritual terrain that we

are facing today. Men and women without sincerity of

purpose in ministry have turned everything into money.

We should be very careful of giving away our God given

spiritual gifts to men of evil kingdom all in the name of

miracle, we need to be strong in the Lord in order to

overcome the temptations to seek false prophets and

    ministers.

We overcome our problems by the leading of the Holy

Ghost by thinking, meditating right with prayers, praises

and fasting. Through keeping our covenant with God on

    tithing, offering, visiting prisons, orphanages,

remembering widows and widower. God was provoked.

When you are carried away with his kingdom mentality,

    God responds to your situation.

It has never been easy for Satan where our affairs are

concerned. We had suffered and overcome several

spiritual attacks, and have also been wooed by

occultists who wanted us to promote their activitiesthrough our talents. We rejected this offer. It is one's

beliefs that make him become who he is in this life.

Therefore, we should understand that the existence of

many churches does not mean that things are getting

better spiritually. Some of these churches are fake, and

it requires the spiritual insight that comes from an

established Godly identity to know. Today many

Pentecostal churches operate with diverse intents andcontents, and source their powers from the kingdom of

hell. We must be careful not to subject ourselves to

Satan through a fake church. Appreciable people have

become victimized by these churches. Among such

places, biblical orthodox is trampled underfoot.

Therefore it should be understood that not everybody

who dances, sings, or preaches believes in God with

sincerity. Some preach, sing and write in order tosatisfy the interest of Satan, through the use of difficult

    vocabularies.

accept our subordination to God through Christ is one

of the main foundations of spirituality. To reject this

subordination even though it is impossible for any man

to be fully independent is the foundation and the

beginning point of foolishness. Perfect understanding

of one's identity exists only in God.

I planned and positioned myself before God to always

enjoy divine protection because I understand my

subordination to Him. As a result, I have been enjoying

divine protection every day. Rising up from bed on

daily basis to write, think, read and meditate is not an

easy task. Moreover, being able to achieve what I

desire on daily basis is by God's Grace.

I recall a story by a friend that said, he had been marked

by Satan for destruction (just as he would mark anyone

else with purpose). This is partly because of the talent

which promotes God, and which God has blessed us

with. Satan does not like people who have discovered

their God-given skills. He would rather want people to

remain ignorant and continue consulting all forms of

    witch doctors.

    Who Are You?

They do this in order to mesmerize and confuse the

simple. For it is only a fool that will believe that the

spiritual things belong to Satan rather than God; this is

the fundamental error of all occultists: Do not be1

jealous of evil men, nor desire to be with them. For their2

heart studies ruin and their lips talk of mischief

    (Proverbs 24:2).

Always go to bed a winner; you can if you think you

can, in the context of obedience to God's Law (as

interpreted in Christ). I often tell people that changes do

not come by merely asking for changes. The more

disadvantaged you are before God, the more

disadvantaged you will be before men; but the more

advantaged you are before God, the more advantaged

you will be before men. He that is blessed by God, will

    ultimately become blessed before men.

Satan has not come to look for people who will advise

him but for people who will help him destroy the

kingdom of God. But Satan's aim is an exercise in

futility: I will build My church, and thegates of hellshall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).

People are bound by Satan because of their own inability

to discover who they are. This results in their own

destruction, and not in the destruction of God's

Kingdom. It is not everybody who is mentally derailed

that is physically derailed and it is not everybody who isspiritually able, that is physically unable.

It is such seeming inconsistency that causes

Satan to take advantage. If Satan has his way he will

make everyone mad. That he is not able to do that shows

how limited he is. Through Christ's death and

resurrection, this limitedness has become magnified.

Satan is really limited by God and by man! He achieves

this, when He desires, by going all out to look for great

men, who have not come to realize or maximize their

potentials in life. So, demons can only overcome and

weaken men and women who yield to him. However, to

overcome challenges, spiritual or otherwise, one must

believe in God. The Christian's value in God's kingdom

is enhanced by understanding his identity.

    CHAPTERTWO

    FACTORS OF SPIRITUAL IDENTITY

In Exodus 20: 7, Gods commandment is thou shall not

take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord

will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

And so, as with many others of the Ten Commandments,

the Third presents us with something that sounds

elementary and almost trivial on the surface, but in

reality reaches to the most profound depth of human

experience. Based on something that we take for granted

every day, the nameGod shakes us to the very core ofour identity. 'What's in a name?' If you're talking about

    God, the answer is 'everything.'

he following factors are necessary for the

establishment of a biblical spiritual identity:Tthrough asking questions, thinking and actingwisely; establishing excellent desires; distinguishing

mere wishful thinking from God-ordained goals; living a

courageous life; setting better goals; and being of benefit

    to others.

Asking Questions, Thinking and Acting Wisely

Prolonged suffering is an indication that you have left

some very important questions unanswered.Even the experience of Job, which is one of the best

examples of Godly suffering, lasted as long as God

wanted it to be, because Job was asking God lots of

questions! The earlier you give appropriate answers to

God's questions also, the earlier your liberty will come.

When progress ceases, the right probing questions are

the right answers that can kick-start it again. But

unfortunately many people have become stationary in

life because they have stopped asking the right

questions. This phobia for probing questions is actually

an indication that one's lifestyle is questionable. The

phobia for questions is carnal and also contrary to the

attitude of Christ. Read through the gospels, and you

will realize that He never shied away from questions.

When people desire to be left alone, it is often because

they have become wearied by dreams that never come

true; so they do not want to be bothered with questions

willingness to cooperate with Him to bring it into

manifestation is what it means to be daring.

For instance the woman who suffered the issue of blood

must have been a great dreamer of health, in spite of her

painful and shameful condition. The woman

summarized this dream with the words she uttered to

herself: If I may but touch his garment, I shall be

    whole (Matthew 9:21).

Despite constant disappointments, among which wasthat she had suffered many things of many

physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was

nothing better, but rather grew worse (Mark 5:26), she

did not allow the disappointments to depress her

willingness to look forward for a better appointment.

What was the result of her faith? And straightway the

fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her

body that she was healed of that plague (Mark 5:29).

She refused to allow her willingness to be healed to be

broken by the negative experiences. She willingly

followed Abraham's example Who against hope

believed in hope (Romans 4:18). Your dream of a

better tomorrow is the expression of the willingness tocontinue walking in faith. This willingness is actually

the fertilizer of your faith. In fact your willingness to

win is a basic necessity, and it comes before prayer and

fasting. This is because The spirit of a man will sustain

    his infirmity (Proverbs 18:14).

While Christ told BartimaeusThy faith hath made thee

whole," he warned the impotent man, Behold, thouart made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come

unto thee (John 5:14). Could it be that the fundamental

sin he was warning him about was that of unwillingness?

We may never know. But one thing we surely know is

that unwillingness can cause a worse thing to come upon

the faithless, irrespective of how many dreams they may

    have dreamt!

Friend it is a matter of willingness. When God plans to

bless a man he waits for him to become willingly thirsty

for obedience, and begin daring him to work in faith

toward the desired blessing and asking the appropriate

    Factors of Spiritual Identity.

questions. You must become who you are by being

determined to ask God spiritual questions and being

prepared to think and act wisely: Wisdom isthe main

thing; get wisdom; and with all your getting get

understanding (Proverbs 4:7). Give every challenge a

real thought by thinking objectively and be committed to

asking God for a solution. Learn to set long-term

projects, for they are better than short term projects.

Future oriented persons think long term, while the

    present oriented think short term.

    Establishing Excellent Desires

For indeed, you ought to be teachers you have need that12

one teach you again what the principles of faith are. And

you have become inneed of milk, and not of solid food.

For everyone partaking of milk isunskillful in theWord13

of Righteousness, for he is an infant. But solid food14

belongs to those who are of full age, even those who

because of use have their senses exercised to discern

both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:12-14).

The ability to establish excellent desires is the ability to

have one's senses exercised to discern both good and

evil. TheMessage Bibleputs it this way, Solid food is

for the mature, who have some practice in telling right

    from wrong (Hebrews 5:14 MSG).

You must always be committed in establishing

excellent desires. When excellent desires are

established, they lead to a well defined purpose in life,

which in turn helps to understand one's identity. People

who are determined to make great differences in life,

exhibit supreme attitude which attracts excellent people

who help them, realize their ambition in life.

I once told a friend that I am determined to write at least

three hundred books in my lifetime. He screamed, Forwhere? But when he saw my books, he began to praise

me with many heroic names, which I cannot recall.

Sometimes excellent desires are formed in the crucible

of numerous disappointments, and sometimes from

those you least expected to disappoint you. Better be

your God-ordained self by not listening to everybody.

Succeeding in life demands that you must decide to do

the right thing at the right time. Face the reality that lifeitself is the combination of success and failure. I believe

that this was partly what Apostle Paul told Timothy

when he said, For God has not given us the spirit of fear,

but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2

Timothy 1:7). So, in order to establish excellent desires,

the spirit of faith (as against the spirit of fear), the spirit

of power, and a sound mind are needed.

    Distinguishing Mere Wishful Thinking

    From God-ordained Goals

Mere wishful thinking should be distinguishable from

God-ordained goals. In the Parable of the Tares, theservants of the husbandman came and told him, Sir,

didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence

then hath it tares? (Matthew 13:27 KJV).

The good seed here refers to wheat, and wheat looks so

much like tares. How would the servants have detected

the enemies' schemes if they could not distinguish wheat

from tares? Similarly, if the Christian is to access his

God-ordained identity, he must learn to distinguish mere

    wishful thinking from God-ordained goals.

Just thinking of something without execution,

and without any plan for execution, is a mere wish. But

anything planned for, and deliberately executed

(without doubting) is a goal. However, in order to

achieve ultimate goal you must be ruthless to the powers

of darkness. This is in consonance with Napoleon

Bonaparte who said, To have ultimate victory, you must

be ruthless. Surely the victory of Napoleon was ruthless

to human beings ruthless to the citizens of France.

During the French revolution in which he was a key

player so many French citizens were murdered to the

extent that someone exclaimed, France is eating up her

sons! Do not Forget also that the chaos that ensued

after the French Revolution was what ushered in the

Reign of Terror. When Napoleon came on the scene,

France was ready for anyone to take charge and lead

them out of their revolutionary mess.

But the Christian's secret of success is to love God and to

love his fellow men. This is then contrasted withruthlessness to the kingdom of darkness, as it relates

especially to Satan and his cohorts.

    Living a Courageous Life

Only be strong and very courageous so that you may be7

careful to do according to all the Law which My servant

Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right

or to the left, so that you may act wisely wherever you go.This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth,8

but you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that

you may be careful to do according to all that is written in

it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and

    then you shall act wisely.(Joshua 1:7, 8).

In most instances in the Bible wisdom and courage are

inextricably connected. Both are foundational to the

consistent obedience to God's commandments. Only the

obedient, wise and courageous can set goals that will be

of benefit to others. We must live a spiritually

courageous life a life demands that at any given time we

must stand on-board to confess the name of the Lord.

This also provides the courage to confront the negative

issues of life, which would psychologically influence

    one's life negatively.

The word courage is defined as, the ability to face

danger, difficulty, uncertainty, or pain without being

overcome by fear or being deflected from a chosen

    course of action.

    Setting Better Goals

Agoalis something that someone aims to achieve. It is

not farfetched to say that one's goals determine present

prepared to make ultimate plans and better goals by

being sensitive enough, to perfect interim plans

spiritually in other to achieve better goals in future. Do

not mind or despise days of little beginnings, because it

is the factor that leads and helps us to move to the next

level of spiritual plans. People who tend to neglect

where they started spiritually, find it difficult to move to

the next level of life physically.

When goals are not set, there would be lack of proper

planning. The consequence will be the lack of spiritual

understanding of the things of God. Moreover, peoplewho do not set goals cannot be seeking and asking God

Goal setting determines the prayer and consecration of

Ultimate plans help manifest spiritual purposes which

    CHAPTERTHREE

    HAVE FAITH IN GOD

Now faith is the substance of1

things hoped for, and the sign that the

things not seen are true. For by it our2

    fathers had God's approval. And6

without faith it is not possible to be well-pleasing to him, for it isnecessary

for anyone who comes to God to have

the belief that God is, and that He is a

rewarder of all those who make a

    serious search for him.

    (Hebrew11:1,2,6)

    Ways to Determine Faith

e see three main ingredients of faith in

the above passage: the things hoped

for (based on the Word of God), God'swapproval, andpleasing God, to the point of being

divinely rewarded. The moment any of the above

ingredients is missing, the faith becomes counterfeit or

shipwrecked: But as Jannes and Jambres withstood

Moses, so these also resist the truth, men of corrupt

    mind, reprobate concerning the faith (2 Timothy 3:8);

They profess that they know God, but in theirworks

they denyHim, being abominable and disobedient and

reprobate to every good work (Titus 1:16.)

The foregoing tells us that in order to determine genuinefaith, which is Bible faith, the three ingredients above

should be used. In fact genuine faith and obedience to

God's Word are the dynamics of positive thinking; the

most appropriate term for positive thinking is biblical

thinking. Faith is quantified through ones spiritual

insight into God's Word. This further goes to say that

faith is limited by the extent the Christian understands

the Word of God. Little understanding of the Word,

leads to little obedience, which in turn leads to little

faith. We also see the place of the Holy Spirit in the

exercise of faith. The Holy Spirit never comes for

everybody, but for those that believe in God throughJesus Christ. As such He never teaches or encourages

evil act, when motivating a faithful person.

The Holy Spirit ignites mental alertness in the person

who walks by faith. The result is a self-assurance borne

of the anointing, rather than apprehension. The main

solution to the affairs of life is knowing the Holy Spirit,

through Jesus Christ, as enabled by God Almighty who

co-ordinates the relationship between man and the

    unknown.

    HowBibleFaithGrows

Bible faith grows by hearing the word of God: Then

faith is of hearing, and hearing by the Word of God

(Romans 10:17); by obedience to God's Word: What

shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin so that grace

may abound? (Romans 6:1); By believing God's

word: Even as Abraham believed God, and it was

counted to him for righteousness (Galatians 3:6); By

forgetting the negative past circumstances: Do not

remember the former things, nor consider the things of

    old (Isaiah 43:18).

Bible faith grows by the following, testifying to God's

faithfulness: The living, the living, he shall praise You,

as I do this day; the father shall make Your truth known to

the sons (Isaiah 38:19); By prayer, praises and offering

which provokes God: My praise shall be of You in the

great congregation; I will pay My vows before the ones

who fear Him (Psalms 22:25); and by promoting God's

Kingdom: But seek first the kingdom of God and His

righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you

(Matthew 6:33). The bottom-line is faithfulness. People

who are faithful are also hopeful; but the unfaithful are

ultimately held bound by Satan. All storms shall pass, but

those who believe in God will surely overcome all satanicsneers.

I recall how Satan attempted to destroy my friend with

his human agent, a woman, whom he regarded as a

mother, who mischievously alleged that she was

pregnant for him and eventually made good her claim

by making it the topic of the town. Friends deserted andconnived with his enemies to weary him spiritually and

physically. But they mistook his quietness for

weakness, not knowing that a man who is emotionally

stable and who believes in God is stronger than millions

of agents of Satan. They almost diverted his attention

from serving God simply because of pregnancy, which

she had for another man, and which the man rejected.

Out of frustration, she decided to hold him responsible.Satan was obviously reacting because he published his

first set of books. And in fact, he is going to become

wealthy and popular in our society. She connived with

his sales girls in other to have him as a husband. Few

days later, she came to his house and told him point-

blank, while knocking her fists on his centre table and

said I wanted you as a husband but you refused. But

you must take this child, whether you like it or not. In

this town, this is the package I have for you.

evil gladiators and satanic agents were paid to convince

him to marry the woman. Lo and behold, each time they

met to plan and strategize, God would be revealing to

him the next thing to do, to counter their moves.

Through it all, the Lord taught him to study to be

quiet, and to do his own business (1 Thessalonians

4:11). Spiritually and physically, he adhered to this

    injunction.

In the process of mistaking his quietness for weakness,

they even reported him to my pastor then. When he

confronted him, he told him that the child in question

was not his. But he was also lured to convince me. He

said, I am from a polygamous family and yet a child of

God. Today I am privileged to be a pastor. My father is

an elder in another church. Accept this woman and her

child. This will not stop you from marrying a second

wife, or becoming what you aim to be in life. He wasstupefied! He screamed in his mind, Is this how Satan

works? I told him, It's a pity and unbelievable that you

are using spiritual things to judge physical things. If she

gives birth and the child lives, that's his child. But if she

is delivered of the child and the child does not live, then

you will know I am serving a living God! His wordscame very strong and with conviction. However, today

he is victorious because all their plans failed. It was too

late for the devil and his collaborators.

Even his friends, who were lured away to desert him,

have started coming back to him. He does not need to

reject them; rather, he saw their attitudes towards him as

part of life experience to teach other believers. Christ

admonished us to relate with satanic agents with

extreme caution: Behold, I send you out as sheep in the

midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpent and as

    harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16).

The second motivation of faith is the development of

an effective spiritual lifestyle. This is possible by one,

saying the same thing as the Word of God; two,

confessing your sins to God; and three, by spiritual

    renewal through prayer.

Saying the same thing as the Word of God: Whatever is

the situation you find yourself always speak in line with

God's Word. Always bear in mind, However, that this

action of speaking correctly is only an aspect of the

whole obedience that is required by God's Word.

Confessing your sins to God: a daily confession of sin

is mandatory, as long as Christians are still living in thisworld For Christ has come to save us from the

    destruction of our enemy.

He has the power to preserve you as his child, and to

personally save your soul, spirit and body from powers

of darkness. This is the heritage of everyone who is in

Christ: Therefore if any one be in Christ, he is a new

creature; old things are passed away; behold, all thingsare become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). It is not also

good to use confession of sin as the cloak or reason to

commit more sins: What shall we say then? Shall we

continue in sin so that grace may abound? (Romans

    6:1).

You must repent spiritually: After confession,

repentance follows immediately, so as to be free from all

evil acts and evil motivations, to be able to forgive those

that have offended you. God cannot be deceived because

He is not a man. When you repent from your sin, you are

meant to allow your spirit, soul and body to be filled

with the spiritual Word of God which comes through

Jesus Christ, who protects, provides, blesses, heals and

redeems you spiritually and physically; God is real towhosoever believes! He renews bodies by healing souls.

By spiritual renewal through prayer: We have touched

on prayer earlier in this book. Along with prayer is the

following undergirds: Rejoice evermore. Pray16 17

without ceasing In everything give thanks, for this is18

thewill of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Do not19

quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophesying. Prove20 21

faithfully. God will go the full hog to ensure that all the

needs of His faithful, whether spiritual, mental or

physical, are met according to his riches in glory.

Why Did Paul and Silas become what they were in

prison? Consider the following questions: one, If Paul

and Silas had ceased to sing hymns, what would have

happened to them? Two, if the prisoners were not

listening while they were praying and singing, what

would have motivated them to partake of the blessing of

deliverance? Three, why were the doors flown opened,

and what was it meant to represent? Four, if the jailer

had killed himself what would have become of Paul and

Silas? Five, by whose power were all these things

happening? and six, why did sinners partake in thevictory of Paul and Silas?

We can see that prayer does not have any limitation to its

spiritual intent; at any given time prayer is superior to

negative circumstances. In response to prayer God

converts negative actions to positive actions, right from

the spiritual realm: And the light shines in the darkness,

Remember, Paul and Silas preached the gospel to the

jailer. Who accepted God with his whole heart by

allowing himself and his family to be baptized? Thus,

making him to realize who he was and supposed to be

spiritually rather than physically Although Paul and

Silas were under his command physically, he recognized

the power and the presence of God in them, by aligning

himself to tap from the depth of their spiritual wisdom

and power, which is superior to any other power on earth.

Knowing Who You are through Prayer

Always pray against every confrontation. The Bible

says that God Almighty will instruct you and teach

you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you,

my eyeshall beon you (Psalm 32:8). Ensure that your

utterances are in line with God's Word. Speak positive

words while believing God for changes. Be confident,

courageous and expectant while praying. Confidence

    is required in prayer.

Have time for your prayers. A good praying attitude

demands a decent place and attracts God's answer

indeed; God is the author and finisher of your faith. Be

wise by applying the right word; God demands this

while praying. Be humble and faithful while making

your request known unto God. Believe that God can do

all things for you; by believing you more are important

    to God than others.

    When trials come, they are properly responded to;

they became raw materials in God's hands to make

us into what we ought to be.

When I realized my potentialsI had an inexplicable and

unprecedented spiritual attack on my right hand. Later I

had a dream in which I was told to do certain things for

some people. I woke up to discover that I could not

raise my right hand. I wondered why such a

paralyzing attack should be aimed against me. As I

meditated over these thoughts after three days, I heard

a voice saying, It is the devil's scheme to stop you at all

length. I responded, Devil you're a liar! In fact, it's

    too late for you!

I decided to neglect the right hand physically but

remained spiritually committed to destroying the yoke

forever. While using the painful hand to write, I

continued waiting and asking God for solution. It was

in the process of doing this that the attack suffered a

    severe blow from God.

The next day while I was working and meditating,

something spoke to me in a quiet voice, Have you

forgotten the anointing oil? The hour has come, pick it

up. This is the time to declare and destroy the attack

renewal and rejuvenation demand answer that

    comes from God.

How to Confront your Challenges through Prayer

Every challenge that comes to the Christian can be

overcome with God's words. Therefore, confront your

challenges with faithful prayers. Any prayer is better

than no prayer, but it is very important to consider

the root of your challenges before offering prayers to

God.Anything that does not conform to enhancing your

call must be taken as a challenge. Anything that hinders

your joy and challenges your spiritual mind is a

hindrance. Anything that motivates you to hurt yourselfis a challenge. Anything that spiritually separates you

from God's Word is a challenge. In order to confront the

foregoing challenges effectively, be courageous while

praying. Always believe that God is capable of

    solving your problems through prayer.

A person, who is prayerful to God, is always

demonstrative of Christ in the subjection of the

natural law to the supernatural by casting out

demons. Every challenge submits to the kind of

prayer one offers to God concerning such challenge.

Therefore, prayers that are spiritually sound must

have biblical basis. Understand that in order to

effectively confront challenges in prayer; you must

    cultivate a good praying attitude.

Cultivate the ability to be dedicated while praying.

The ability to pray objectively while believing in the

Word of God; to what degree is your knowledge

dependent on God's Word A pure motivation is very

important. To what degree do you consider prayer as theonly tool that destroys satanic power? He sent His

Word and heals them, and delivers them from their

    pitfalls (Psalm 107:20).

    Oppositions To Prayer

Satan intentionally makes people to see prayer as an

unnecessary form of practice. For those who see prayer

as necessary, Satan introduces weakness by making

them inconsistent in prayer. Satan becomes dedicated

and committed in judging and confronting people with

their negative circumstances. Instead of allowing them

to pray, meditate and think of solving their problems.

Satan makes one to see the activities of prospering the

kingdom of God as not important.

Contrary to God's instruction to instruct thee and

teach thee in the way which thou shall go: I will guide

thee with mine eye (Psalm 32:8), prayerless people

go to the wrong places for solutions to their

problems.Satan makes one to disregard the importance

of Christian fellowship, especially as held in the Sundaychurch services. When this occurs it means that

believers are beginning to doubt Christ's power as Lord

of lords, and King of kings.

When the Holy Bible is seen as an ordinary book,

which can be argued with, then prayer is also seen as

unnecessary. This results in the loss of focus and

concentration in the home front, by making

unbelievers not to allow their children to partake in

the affairs of God, and to doubt God's existence. In

the extreme, some unbelievers do not believe in God

    or even attend church regularly.

In view of the foregoing activities, Christians should

be committed to praying for others, so that these

limitations would be removed. Thus, those who are

spiritually sound should always pray for those who

are spiritually weak. Not minding whether they are

believers or not, prayer is the antidote to spiritual

weakness. It motivates, activates and encouragesunbelievers to become spiritually capable of

knowing God. This is possible by challenging

negative forces in the spiritual realm that blind them.

    ADVANTAGES OF BEING PRAYERFUL:

Prayer brings the knowledge of salvation to unbelievers,

and brings the understanding of God's Word to

believers. For without Christ one will remain in

crises. A man without Christ is not living; he only

exists. Prayer teaches believers how to seek God

faithfully, by making believers to teach unbelievers the

    ways of God.

Prayer stirs up the might and empowers an individual

while listening to the Word of God, in order to overcome

challenges. It enables whosoever believes in God to

faithfully exercise God's glory over the satanic power.

God is not late, God is not slow, but the purpose of

His end of doing things is sure. Prayer teaches

believers and unbelievers on how to believe the

    scripture:

Therefore, I say unto you, what things so ever ye

desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them,

and ye shall have them (Mark 11:24 KJV).

    PRAYERS AND OUR CHRISTIAN IDENTITIES:

A prayerful Christian is the one who confronts

challenges. He stands in the gap between God andunbelievers, and remains courageous, serving God

faithfully (Psalms 72:12). Prayer is a medium through

which God interacts with him; a divine instrument

through which God uses to separate believers from

    unbelievers(Jeremiah 33:3).

Through prayers, God releases courageous force that

cannot be challenged by Satan. Prayer inspires and

motivates. Prayer enables believers to hear the intention

of God through the Holy Spirit. Unbelievers do not care

how much you know about God, but how you care about

them through prayer. For some, prayers of believers

could mean the difference between life and death.

...Gradually, like we see today, immorality began to

One cannot speak of the reality of Gods existence today

stratum was deposited, long period elapsed, as long as, or

probably far longer than, the whole interval from the

Silurian age to the present day; and that during thesevast, yet unknown, periods of Time, the world swarmed

with living creatures. To the question Why do we not

find records of these vast primordial periods? I can give

no satisfactory answer... We should not forget that only a

small portion of the world is known with accuracy.

Contrary to the inaccurate submission of the Origin

Species, I believe that God exists. It is far easier tobelieve so. God, then, as creator (or manufacturer) must

have the manufacturers manual for his creatures. For

since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes

are clearly seen. being understood by the things that are

made, even His eternal power and Godhead (Romans

    1:20).

Creation is the first proof of Gods existence, and thesimplest divine manual: just like a book is the proof of

the existence of an author; music is the proof of the

existence a composer; an artwork proves the existenceof

of a fine artist, etc. In addition to creation, God inspired

the writing of the Bible, in order to give the clearest

expression of Himself and His plan for humanity.

    The Sin Catastrophe and Redemption

According to the Genesis record when God created

Adam and Eve, the first human beings, they were neither

mortal (death doomed) nor immortal. They were just

innocent, perfect, human beings. They were given

God's first manufacturer's instruction to them. If they

hadobeyed it, immortality would have been theirs; ifnot, mortality would be the consequence. Unfortunately

they disobeyed. He had commanded them: Of every

tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of

the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in

the day that you eat of it you shall surely die (margin: in

dying you shall die) (Genesis 2:16,17).

The entrance of covenantal (spiritual) death into thespirit of man was the first and main consequence of

Adam's disobedience. The day he ate the forbidden

fruit, his spirit died instantly, and this affected his body

gradually, until he died physically. Put more biblically,

Adam and Eve died to the covenant the moment they

sinned. The same happened to all members of the humanrace: Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin

did my mother conceive me (Psalm 51:5). This is the

reason an infant or a new convert or someone under

covenant covering, must be placed in the visible church

through baptism. And this membership is renewed

through regular partaking of the Holy Communion.

He who believes and is baptized will

be saved, but he who does not believe

    will be condemned (Mark 16:16);

Then Jesus says to them, Truly,

truly, I say to you, Unless you eat the

flesh of the Son of Man, and drink

His blood, you do not have life in

    yourselves (John 6:53);

And a certain woman named Lydia14

heard us, a seller of purple of the city

    of Thyatira, who worshiped God;

whose heart the Lord opened, so that

she attended to the things which were

spoken by Paul. And when she was15

baptized, she and her household, shebegged us, saying, If you have judged

me to be faithful to the Lord, come

Into my house and stay. And she

    constrained us (Acts 16:14, 15).

The biggest danger of this covenantal death in the spirit

is that if any dies unredeemed, the spirit will go to hell.

Even then, Hell will only be the commencement of an

eternal state of punishment. God decided not to

abandon humanity to this horrible fate. Actually all

human beings became slaves of sin and Satan through

the fall of Adam, and are in urgent need of redemption.

This redemption became ageneralreality through the

death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (I recommend

that you watch Mel Gibson's film, The Passion of the

Christ.) In Him (i.e., Christ) we have redemptionthrough His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to

the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7). The New

Testament was originally written in Greek; the word

redeemis the verb of Redemption, and is translated from

    the Greek word exagorazo.

One of the various meanings of this word in English is

to buy out, especially in reference to purchasing a slave

of an evil master by a kindly master. But a slave can be

purchased with such noble intention, and the slave could

still refuse to come under the kindly master; that is, the

slave/person chooses to remain in bondage, despite the

    act of purchasing the freedom.

Similarly, when a person refuses to acknowledge God's

redemptive act, as wrought in Christ, thisgeneral reality

of redemption cannot become a personal reality. The

momenta person becomes born again, instantaneously,

redemption becomes a personal reality, beginning in the

spiritand gradually affecting the mind, body and all

aspects of life. He join a visible church gets baptised,

and partakes in the Holy Communion regularly. That is,

for salvation to be sustained the Christian must becomean active member of the Church of Jesus Christ: Not

forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the

manner of some is, but exhorting one another and so

much the more as you see the Day approaching

(Hebrews 10:25). Later, we will come back to the term, born again.

    Catastrophic Consequence of the Fall

The fall of man was a heartrending catastrophe. A

Dictionary defines catastropheas a sudden misfortune,

a dreadful disaster. Biblically speaking this is exactly

what the fall of man portends. The widespread

consequence of man's fall is sin breaking of God's lawor living below His standard. (The whole creation was

affected as a unit and the whole creation shall also be

redeemed as a unit.) Some of the main consequences of

    the fall are as follows:

God's plan that all human beings become His children,

for all eternity was disrupted:'Jesus said to them, If

God were your Father, you would love Me, for I

proceeded forth and came from God You are of your

to do ' (John 8:42, 44)Spiritual death (or better put,

covenant death) polluted the spirit and body of

Man:'Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the

world, and death through sin, and thusdeath spread to all

men, because all have sinned.' (Romans 5:12).Satan

became a partaker of the caretaker dominion given to

man over creation (Luke 4:5, 6) A curse was brought

upon the earth and creation, consequently (Romans

    8:20-22).

Man could no longer interact (or

    fellowship) with God: 'And they

(Adam and Eve) heard the sound of the

Lord God walking in the garden in the

cool of the day, and Adam and his wife

hid themselves from the presence of

the Lord God among the trees of the

    garden' (Genesis 3:8).

Man lost God's enabling andempowering abilities bibl ic al ly

speaking, man lost God's glory and is

seen by God as an eternal criminal: For

All have sinned and fall short of the

    glory of God' (Romans 3:23).

    The Incarnation

Immediately after the fall of man, there existed the

glaring need for a mediator. The Cambridge

International Dictionary of English defines Mediate

(the verb form of mediator) as to arrange (an

agreement) by talking to two separate people or groupsinvolved in a disagreement, or to arrange (a connection

between two things, people or groups). Thatis, there

was a need for a beingwho qualifies to speak to God on

man's behalf, and speak to man concerning God; this

being is also to build aconnection between God and

man. The mediator must meet the following

    qualifications:

He must be a human being and not an angel, since

humanity committed the offense (in Adam). He must

came through Adam but righteousness and eternal life

came through Jesus Christ. The shed blood of Jesus

became the price for man's universal redemption: That

is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to

Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has

committed to us the word of reconciliation (2

Jesus Christ became the substitute for humanity, andmysteriously suffered within three days and three

Experience (which is the first), renewal of the mind,

healing for the body and societal reformation and can

cooperate with God for them to become personal

    realities.

    Being Born Again

It is through the born again experience, that the universal

redemption, provided by Jesus Christ becomes a

personal reality. To be born again is instantaneous; it is

when God instantaneously removes spiritual death (or

mortality) from a person's spirit, and replaces it with

eternal life. Please note that eternal life does notjust

refer to eternal longevityof life, for every person already

    12773

Here are the benefits of this universal redemption:

It became possible for the natureof spiritual death to be

removed from the spirit of men and women who chose

to become born again. [Though, Christianity inevitably

results into righteous living, no amount of attempted

righteous living can remove spiritual death from Man's

spirit, prior to the born again experience. No one can

enter God's kingdom with the stigma of spiritual death

in his or her spirit. Mortality or covenantal death is

another biblical name for spiritual death. It passed unto

all men through physical birth, as a consequence of

    Adam's disobedience.

    Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;

old things (in the spirit) have passed away; behold, all

things (in the spirit) have become new' (2 Corinthians

5:17)].The impassable wall between God and man

was broken down. It became possible for men and

women to re-establish relationship with God andbecome His children; thereby, making it possible to

possesses this longevity every human being will live

eternally in God's kingdom or eternally in the lake of

Fire: In Him (Jesus) was life (i.e. eternal life), and the

life was the light of men (John 1:4; words in brackets

    mine).

When eternal lifeis seen as God's lifewhich is available

to manat the moment of the born again experience, then

John 3:16 takes on a clearer meaning: For God so loved

the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that

whoeverbelieves in Him should not perish (in hell and

lake of fire) but have everlasting life (that is, God's life in

his or her spirit) (John 3:16words in brackets mine). When a person is willing to become born again, then the

following decisions must be made.Accept that he or she

is a sinner, by birth and by practice, through Adam's fall.

If a person feels it necessary, gripping and glaring sins

    can beprivatelyconfessed before God.

Accept that Jesus is the only wayto God,

and that this waywas made possible

by the crucifixion, death, and resurrection:

    76

I am the way, the Truth, and the Life.

No one comes to the Father except through

    Me (John 14:6)

you born again, and receive you intoHis family and kingdom.

The proof of the born again experience is a miraculous

confidence (or witness) that you will go to heaven any

moment you die: The (Holy) Spirit Himself bears

witness with our spirit that we are children of God

(Romans 8:16). The result is a joyin holy living and a

misery in unholy living: before the born again

experience a person can indulge in unholy lifestyle and

still feel comfortable, but after one gets born again

comfort is found only in holy living. If a born again

person especially someone new to the faith lives

unrighteously, he or she feels tremendously miserable.

In this instance, the only relief from this misery is

repentance, and aresolution not to live that way again:

    Sincerely ask God to make

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive

us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I

John 1:9). (This lapse could only occur momentarily; if

it is a permanent feature, then it is proof that the person

is backslidden or never got born again) .

As a rule, the born again experience is the beginning of

the empowerment to live righteously, to subjugate the

kingdom of darkness and to enjoy God's blessing.

Another result of the born again experience is the

longing to study the Bible, and the desire to fellowship

with other born again people. Bible reading and study

can commence from the books of John and Romans.

Living a holy life after hearing and receiving the

word of God comes through the power of Holy spirit,

while you exercise your redemption publicly as a

Christian by sustaining your relationship with God.

Holy spirit makes you a child of God. (If this is done,

you don't have doubt to speak about your relationship

    with God as a born-again)

    78

Spiritual Implications of the Born Again

    Experience

When a person becomes born again, the following

spiritual implications become real: God begins tosee

the person identified with Christ in His redemptive

work, from the cross to when He sat on the Heavenly

    throne, thus:

We were crucified with Him (Romans 6:5, 8) / We were

buried with Him (Romans 6:4) / We were made alive

with Him (Ephesians 2:5; Colossians 2:13) / We

resurrected with Him (Ephesians 2:6; 2 Timothy 1:8-

    10) / We are seated on the throne with Him (Ephesians

    LIFE IS ONLY IN CHRIST

person can get born again and thus

identify with Jesus Christ only while

Astill physically alive. Therefore donot be deceived. After physical death, it becomesimpossible to personally experience the realities of

    redemption on earth;

God uses His providence, the Bible, preaching and the

Holy Spirit's conviction; to influence people to get

saved. It requires positive thinking to consider whereyou will spend eternity and decide for Jesus. There is no

    salvation in hell.

    Conclusion

Do not wait until you are old, because the older a person

gets the more entrenched evil habits become, and the

    harder it is to yield to God. The elderly still gets saved;

though it is rare. In order to redeem us by Jesus' blood,

God sent Him to the Cross, and then to hell: God went to
