Alpha Xi History The Alpha Xi Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma

Society International was organized for Fayette and Lamar Counties on Saturday, April 10, 1948 at the Vocational Building in Fayette. Mrs. Norma Bristow, Beta State Executive Secretary, organized the chapter, and Mrs. Virginia Crowder, President of Iota Chapter of Walker County, presided and conducted the initiation of the fourteen initiates.

In January, 1964, the Alpha Xi Chapter voted to divide, and on April 25, 1964, officers for Alpha Xi Chapter (Fayette County) and Beta Psi Chapter (Lamar County) were installed.
