WELCOME

Pastor Greg & Tamara Dumas Lead Pastor

Crossing Family,

What a blessing it is to be your Pastor! God has done some amazing things in 2010 and we are looking forward to what he has in store for us in 2011. As we move forward into a new year, it is important not to forget the significant lessons we learned in the recent past. We pray that you and your family remember the value of being in His word, being on our knees in prayer, and being in full reliance of His providence.

In His Love,

Pastor Greg and Tamara Dumas

AWAKENINGFaith, Fasting and Spiritual Freedom

John 10:10; Romans 12:11 Lead Pastor: Greg Dumas

WELCOME TO THE CROSSING CHURCH

SCRIPTURE

John 10:10 (NIV) 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Romans 12:11 (NIV) 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

• How close do you feel to God right now? Do you think there is more to be experienced in your relationship with Him?

• A deepening relationship with Christ always begins with an “awakening.” An awakening starts with total surrender and flows into a passionate expression of love for God.”

• Dynamic interactions with God are designed to happen in close succession, not at random and lengthy intervals.

• A thriving relationship with God should be the norm, not the exception.

• Have you ever totally surrendered you life to the Lord and been filled with His Spirit?

• Feelings don’t define our faith, but feelings assist our faith in serving Christ.

OBSERVATION

Page 6: The Crossing Bulletin January 9, 2011

Lord, thank you for providing a way for me to wake up again. I am looking forward to knowing your presence and falling in love with your holy word. I know that you died for my sins and that you will allow me to enter heaven, and now I want to experience your grace and wonderworking power here on earth. I want to live. I want to be fully alive for you. I want to know you in a deeper and more personal way. I want to hear your voice and know what it’s like to truly walk with you. Thank you that your offer is readily available to me. I am ready to taste and see that you are, indeed, good – better, in fact, than anything I’ve ever known or tasted.

1. Surrender: (Galatians 2:20)

2. Passion and Emotion: (Galatians 5:16-23MSG)
