The Crisis in Darfur.
Baggara nomads searching for water have to take their livestock south of the region, land mainly occupied by non-Arab farming communities. The government and ‘Janjaweed’ (militia group) attacks upon the non-Baggara civilian population have resulted in a major humanitarian crisis.

June 16 2007. – UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon released a statement in which he proposed that the slaughters in Darfur was caused "at least in part from climate change", and that it "derives, to some degree, from man-made global warming."
