We are happy to announce the completion of one special project which has been launched in

September 2017, involving the transhipment in the Constanta port of a chemical processing factory of

over 25000 cbm and 5000 tons, originating from Thailand, China, India and some European factories,

having as final destination Kransodar Kray, Russian Federation.

At the request of our partners, our projects team handled and coordinated all the activities involving the

receiving the cargo in the Constanta terminal, cargo survey, inland haulage between different quays,

protecting the equipments with tarpaulins, terminal cargo plan and efficient storage organisation, obtain-

ing different licenses from the state authorities, performing customs formalities, professional lashing on

the departing vessels to Novorossisk. We thank our project cargo department for another professionally

handled set of operations, duly performed during the 1 year period.

Some of the biggest parts handled were reaching GWT 150 tons, some 30 m length,

some 6 meters wide and some 6 m high

With this project, since its inception in 2015, our Special Projects department exceeded the 100,000 cbm milestone of transhipment cargoes, as by

now Europrim Shipping is well recognized on a regional scale as one of the leading specialists in handling the transshipping of awkward, heavy,

breakbulk and special projects cargo via the Romanian hubport of Constanta.

4th International ACEX Conference Gathered Together Logisticians from All

over the World More than 200 face-to-face meetings between business owners, heads of logistics companies and international networks, two days of face-to-face

meetings, 6 round tables discussions on the topical issues of modern logistics; geography of participants - the whole world. Top managers of logis-

tics companies from different cities of Russia, China, Japan, India, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Finland, Singapore,

Canada, Nigeria, Lithuania and other world countries gathered to discuss business projects in the field of the international logistics on September,

14 - 16 in Sochi.

The International ACEX Conference is held in Russian cities for the fourth time and attracts some hundreds of foreign participants interested

in co-project and cooperation. The business program of the conference began in the round tables format. The moderators were specialists of inter-

national logistics companies in the areas of cargo consolidation, air, rail, sea and multimodal freight, customs specifics, they shared topical logistics

solutions and answered participants’ questions.

The most interesting topics were:

1. Consolidated cargo flow, aircargo consolidation from China and the USA to Russia

The round table was arranged by Evgeniya Vidulina, Coordinator of the ACEX agency network, and Andrey Baranov, Development Director

of FANS TRANS.

"The first project on the air cargo consolidation between logistics Alliance members was successfully launched in early July this year,"

says Evgeniya Vidulina. The result of the transportation was a reduction in freight logistics costs and a more profitable offer to the client." Ac-

cording to the second moderator of this round table, Andrey Baranov the partners were interested in the possibility of establishing such service with

other countries during the face-to-face meetings.

2. Advantages of LTL delivery from China. LCL deliveries from Turkey to Russia via Novorossiysk.

The round table moderator Alexey Nadzhar, CEO of Atlantic Cargo, drew attention to the delivery time, which is observed in 95% cases, low and

controlled risks in the transportation and to the favorable terms for representatives of small and medium businesses.

3. Business development, joint products and the sales of the partners in different countries and regions, cooperation in alliances.

This round table was arranged by Ken Singh, president of the International Alliance CargoPartnersNetwork , Canada, that includes more than

200 companies, and Eugene Apasov – head of the company ACEX in Saint-Petersburg, that has a long-term experience in the organization of

International Alliance GFFG.

The speakers drew attention to the fact that interaction and cooperation within such structures lead to long-term business and partnership relations,

which in their turn promote to the launch of new projects.

4. LCL Sea Groupage Services from China to East & West Russia and by Road via Baltics.

Christian Natale, representative of Global World Network – network, specialized on the cargo consolidation, talked about the increasing of

commodity turnover through the Baltics ports, and also determinate China as a main partner of goods’ export and import in Russia.

“Constant growth of volumes allows to develop the service of consolidated cargo from China to Russia, using the Russian seaports and increasing

their potential ", - Mr. Natale thinks.

5. Novorossiysk Sea Port. Possibilities and perspectives.

Moderators of this round table, Denis Bobrakov, Commercial Director of BSSS company and Airat Bilalov, CEO of PSG company, discussed

with participants the infrastructure and port’s particular features.

"We are going to launch the joint projects through the port of Novorossiysk", - Himadri Pattanaik, Asset Management Chairman of Exim Lo-

gistics, India shares his impressions of the conference. Many of our customers import Russian raw materials to Calcutta, so we are working with

BSSS on the project for the anthracite transportation ".

6. Customs clearance in Russia, new Code of EES.

Georgy Vlastopulo, CEO of Optimal Logistics was an expert in this topic for Russian and foreign participants.

“The topic of customs clearance in Russia is always relevant, - Melis Oman, Development Director of Airon Logistic, Turkey comments. The

procedure for export and import registration in Russia is characterized by certain features that simplify the work with customers, and shorten the

delivery time."

The second part of the day was devoted to face-to-face meetings. Such format is familiar for international conferences abroad and it is the new one

for Russian participants. Partners work in a very active regime, in which meetings are held in the mode of 20-minute slots, allowing to organize the

maximum number of negotiations in a short time with the greatest efficiency.

There were only 20 minutes of direct negotiations with the first persons of the companies that make decisions and here you can find the first results:

BSS got the new partners in Singapore, that are ready to transfer their cargoes to the port of Novorossiysk, a joint cargo delivery to Israel from

Uzbekistan is also planned, new projects on sea shipments will start between the companies of Azerbaijan and China, Nawinia plans customs

clearance and transportation of goods from Finland based on the results of face-to-face meeting with Optima Freight, the project of AMTEK with a

container train through Mongolia is at the stage of realization, sending to India will be organized between the Turkish company and the Russian

leader in the e-commerce field Boxberry, company AGGL, Azerbaijan and RusTrans, Russia, are preparing a joint project from Ulyanovsk to Baku,

the batch of 50 containers per month is launched under the new cooperation with FANS TRANS and Boxline UCL.

The third day of the conference was devoted to an informal program with an excursion to the ski resort, Krasnaya Polyana and the longest suspen-

sion bridge Skypark, where the most daring participants made an extreme jump over the mountain river from a height of 207 meters. The event was

held at a high international level, all participants noted an interesting business program, a rich informal communication and a clear organization.

The conference was attended by representatives of the federal media that broadcasted the video on Russia 1 channel, according to the results of the

conference.

U.S. reached $452 billion by the end of 2017, e-commerce logistics costs topped $117

cent of logistics costs last year, up 1.7 per cent from 2016.

The $117 billion figure accounts for the key costs associated with e-commerce logistics,

Top 25 airfreight forwarders: DHL still at the top but Kuhne + Nagel

closes the gap

DHL Global Forwarding remained the world’s largest airfreight forwarder in 2017,

(see chart below) but second placed Kuhne+Nagel continued to close the gap and the

rest of the major players enjoyed a bumper year.

As expected, the latest annual figures from analyst Armstrong & Associates show that

the world’s top airfreight forwarders saw rapid growth in 2017, with total tonnage

across the leading 25 increasing by 11.1% to 16.1m metric tonnes.

This was above market growth of around 9%, a reflection of acquisitions and invest-

ments made by the top players.

At the top of the pile was once again DHL Global Forwarding as it saw air cargo de-

mand during the year increase by 8.1% to 2.3m metric tons - roughly in line with the
