Alhamdulillah, all praises to Allah SWT for all His mercy and blessings so
that the researcher could finish this undergraduate thesis. Shalawat and salam may
always be upon Rasulullah SAW, his family, his colleagues and people who
follows his ways.
A lot of guidance, support and encouragement from the researcher’s
advisors Dr. Hartono, M.Pd and Laela Hikmah Nurbatra, M.A, M.EdLead in the
process of completing this thesis. For that, and for their abundant patience in
guiding her, the researcher would like to express her utter gratitude. The
researcher also would like to thank the lecturer who taught Intermediate Reading
Comprehension course and the third semester students from class C and D for
their time and cooperation during the research.
Many greatly dear people have also helped in finishing this thesis; Dodi
Andre Wiranata who was always more than willing to lend his ears and help
however he could, Hayuningtyas Sri Puspaningrum with her countless support
and suggestions that were very useful for the making and revising of this thesis, 6
fellow Thesis February fighters (Yusuf, Hesti, Allisan, Cici and Ajeng), fellow
Weebs (Yuuchan, Chrona and Icha), fellow BKMA part-timers, everyone from
ELED A 2013, and a lot more friends who cannot be mentioned one by one. May
